reflections
As I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. My reflection stared back at me with an intensity that seemed almost unnatural. Suddenly, my reflection blinked and I froze in terror. I knew that wasn't possible. Then, to my horror, my reflection began to move independently of me. It reached out towards me with a twisted grin on its face.

I stumbled backwards, frantically trying to get away from the mirror. But as I turned to run, I saw that the reflection in every mirror in the room was doing the same thing. It was as if they were all trying to escape their prison and take my place in the real world. I could feel their eyes following me as I backed away, my heart pounding in my chest.

I tried to scream, but my voice caught in my throat. I was trapped, surrounded by my own reflections, and I knew that if they got out of the mirrors, there would be no stopping them. They would walk amongst us, wearing our faces and pretending to be us, while we were trapped in the mirrors they left behind.

I could feel their cold breath on the back of my neck as they closed in on me. I knew that I had to act fast if I wanted to survive. With a burst of courage, I lunged towards the nearest mirror and smashed it with all my might. As the glass shattered, my reflections screamed in agony and disappeared, leaving me gasping for breath and covered in sweat.

From that day on, I avoided mirrors as much as possible. I knew that my reflections were still out there, waiting for their chance to escape and take my place in the world. And I knew that if I ever let my guard down, they would be ready to strike.
