Chapter 2 - The Earth Element, Stoner.

They all arrive back at the settlement, Cambs is walking past the settlements guards dragging some of the Sky Gliders wings in one hand, the tuna fishes in the other hand. Lon walks over to greet them as Ips alongside Lee walks past dragging the Sea Dwellers lifeless bodies.

Ips says "I will take these to get skinned."

Cambs responds saying "Yes, after take them to Gordon, we can have a feast tonight."

"Will do" Ips responds as he walks off.

Lon says, "Not a bad haul lads."

Cambs responds saying "It isn't a bad one, also none of us got injured which is always a good thing."

Coven alongside Ports walk over, "Not bad young’un" Coven says to Cambs, shaking him by the hand.

Cambs says "Got to do my bit to help, also it is not just me, the other lads have pulled their weight."

"Of course, lad" Ports responds.

Cambs says "I am going to give these wings to the builders’ lads."

Cambs walks off leaving Lon, Coven alongside Ports talking near the entrance of the settlement.

Cambs is walking past Gordon he stops quickly, as he places the tunas down on the counter.

Gordon says, "Not a bad size bro."

Cambs responds saying "Yeah it is all right bro, also Ips should be bringing you some Sea Dweller bodies to cut up, now I am going to take these to the builders."

Gordon nods in response, he looks back to his knife slicing through a chicken breast.

Cambs is walking towards the fifty new homes, that are still in the process of being built. He walks past Phil that is smashing up rocks, for building the path way to the new homes. Phil puts his thumb up, so does Cambs that does the same in response. As he walks past towards the builders. Cambs walks up to Diy that was just talking to one of the other Settlement builders, that walks away towards a home. In the distance you can see the wall around the settlement being rebuilt to keep the new homes safe, the settlement expanding.

Cambs says to Diy "The homes look like they are nearly finished, also I have brought you some doors."

Diy responds asking "Thanks pal, you are having Twenty homes to share out then the others are going to the other settlement people?"

Cambs responds "Yeah that is the plan bro, well all of us settlement protectors will have a home each instead of being crammed up in the compound."

As Diy takes the wings from him.

Diy responds "As long as I get one brother."

Cambs responds saying "Of course, I am going to have number nineteen, seventeen also one each for my parent’s bro then the others are to be shared out."

Diy nods in agreement as Cambs shakes him by the hand.

Cambs says, "Take it easy bro."

"You two mate" Diy responds while Cambs walks away. Cambs stops for a minute to speak with a couple of settlement residents.

He walks over to Phil as he is putting smashed up rocks into a wooden wheel barrow. Ips in the distance is giving the lifeless Sea Dwellers to Gordon. Phil shakes hands with Cambs, that is saying "I am going to help you with laying the pathway."

Phil responds saying "Can do with the extra pair of hands bro."

Cambs responds saying "Okay let us go then brother."

Cambs starts putting the smashed-up rocks in the wheel barrow. While Phil is taking hold of the sledge hammer while taking a boulder off from the pile. Phil starts smashing the boulders to rocks. Hearing the builders in the distance along with birds tweeting a tune on this sunny day.

Barry is walking over with an empty wheelbarrow while saying, "Give us that one, then you can fill this one up son."

Cambs responds "Alright pal."

Barry puts the empty wheel barrow beside Cambs then takes the full one, over to lay more of the pathway, that is going around the corner towards the homes. Cambs starts filling the empty wheel barrow as Phil takes another boulder from the pile to smash up with the sledge hammer.

Suddenly a massive Boulder with a flaming tail-end comes hurdling from out the sky, over the settlement while it is declining through the sky, everyone immediately stops what they are doing to watch it, gawping. Seeing it crash somewhere outside where the new settlement walls are being built.

Everybody starts to form in a group while they are all talking, all asking the same question more or less "What was that?"

The Settlement protectors walk over. Cambs walks over to Lon that is speaking with his wife Donna.

Donna asks Cambs "You going to check that out?”

Cambs responds "Yes alongside the others."

Coven is standing there opposite, he hobbles over to the side of Lon.

Coven says to Cambs "Get the others together then go see what that is, also be careful out their brother, make sure you all come back."

Cambs nods as he starts walking over to all the Settlement protectors.

The boulder has ripped up some earth as it has crashed into the edge of the forest, with mud torn up around the front with trees that are uprooted, laying on top of the big boulder. Some bodies of Sky Gliders mixed with Primates are entwined within the tree trunks. A Sky Glider is flying past as he spots the wreckage, decides to fly down, landing on the ground, it starts to walk over to the boulder. It places its hand on the ruff brown surface, a smaller rock shoots out…

The Settlement protectors have made their way to the crashed Boulder, seeing one of the Sky Gliders with a rock caved into his head. The skies are clear with none of the creatures in site.

Liver says, "It is too quiet, I don't like it."

Cambs responds "Same brother, stay on high alert lads."

A door shape submerges inwards then slides up. A man with a few people behind him emerges, he has a bushy beard with blue eyes also brown hair. On his armour, it has rocks flying past, changes to a boulder that changes to a tree with rocks piling up from the bottom to the top. His sword has a smaller boulder moving up then down through the middle of the swords blade. He walks up to the settlement protectors with his people following behind, some have the same armour on, also there is women with their children in arms.

He says, "My name is Stoner, these are my people."

Before any of the settlement protectors can respond Stoner points his sword towards them, Archie pulls his bow out as he starts to load it with an arrow. A rock shoots from Stoners sword, soaring past the heads of the settlement protectors, hitting an approaching Sky Glider in the head. Cambs turns around while pulling out his sword from its light blue leather holster as the others do the same….

A few more Sky Gliders touch down running towards the group. A pack of Primates come swinging from the trees that are still standing. Cambs slices through the chest of a Sky Glider, while an arrow darts past Cambs head impaling into a Primate’s head, throwing the primitive creature back from the force of the impact. Cambs dodges a spitfire while Manc alongside Hester go deal with the other Sky Glider. Cambs slices through the neck of the Sky Glider, blood starts spurting out as it drops to its knees. A rock goes flying past hitting a Primate indenting within the creatures skull. The last Sky Glider moves its wings up to slice through both brothers but is not quick enough because Manc sticks his sword in one side of the Sky Glider torso, Hester does the same on the other side. Manc pulls out his sword as he spins inwards, chopping the Sky Gliders head off. It drops to the floor, rolling across the ground as the Sky Gliders body slumps to the ground, blood spurting put from the severed throat. Ips stops the head from rolling any further by placing his muddy boot on top of the creatures lifeless head, he kicks the head towards Birms, the creatures head rolls past the boots of Birms while he carries on walking back towards the group of settlement protectors, as he is smiling at Ips. With no more creatures left to kill, just dead ones with blood seeping from the wounds scattered around.

They focus their attentions back to Stoner. There is an entrance to a cave in the distance with mountains behind it, but that is not important now.

Cambs says "Cheers for the help."

Stoner responds saying "No problem, got to protect our people, also I didn't know what they were, but I could see it attacking so I killed it."

Cambs responds asking "Yes you do have to protect your own, where are you from?"

While Stoner looks up to the sky, with the moon gone but the other smaller planets still there.

Stoner points up to one of them saying "I think one of them, but I didn't know there was three other planets, that are the same size as our one, from my planet you can only see the grey one, also you can see this planet, we chose to come here because it looked less of a dead planet."

Cambs responds asking "Them planets have always been there, we used to tell stories about what is up there, on them planets, old folk tales around a fire. You got a spare one of them armours, we can have also with a sword would be nice?"

Stoner responds asking "Depends if you have a place for us to stay?"

Cambs responds "Yeah as long as you don't cause trouble, also help build our settlement."

Stoner responds, "Of course my brother.”

As one of his people give Stoner a sword alongside the armour.

Cambs says to the other settlement protectors "Let's get what we can from the creatures, then get back to the settlement, before any more of them turn up."

They start cutting the wings off from the Sky Gliders as Liver is about to touch the boulder for leverage to get a Sky Gliders out from under the tree trunks,

Stoner says in a raised voice “I will get them, don’t touch it!”

Liver responds asking “Why can’t I?”

As Liver takes a few steps back, with a look of confusion on his face.

Stoner responds saying “Cause look at that creature, a Boulder will shoot out from anywhere.”

Liver nods in responds as he asks, “Can you touch it?”

Stoner touches it as he starts pulling one of the Sky Gliders.

Liver says, “I guess that answers my question.”

Stoner responds, “It is because I am wearing this armour.”

As Liver walks away, walking up to a Primate’s corpse, with one of Archie's arrows sticking out from its head, Liver pulls the arrow out followed by a spurt of blood.
