Fate is cruel but go down fighting
Kumar was the Star of his family, all hopes were pinned on him .Outstand ing in Academics and excellent in Sports his special interesting Cricket out door and Chess as indoor games.
He brought home many laurels at an early age.
In his School finals he stood with a brilliant grades and In English the topper and wad awarded meritorious Certificate in the Subject English much to the pride of his father and slight pangs of envy in his siblings seeing how he had become the apple of the eye of his father.
Fate began to lay its ensnaring nets just as he was blossomimg into a promising
individual.He was good in Mathematic
and Accountancy so wanted to do C.A. where the percentage of getting through was 4 percent only.
Hence in pre College he opted for the Third group and had started attending H.S S.School .It was then that he would come home complaining of headaches and it began to recur at intervals .The year went by and he moved on to the 2 nd year despite his severe headaches and came out successful. The quarterly exams went by and it was then that he came back one day complaining of having double vision.
Kumar s father knew this must be done problem due to the eyes so took him to the local hospital for a mere check up.
A dagger kind of pierced his father's heart when the Ophthalmologist expressed grave concern saying there was tension found in the Optic nerve running to the brain and he was critical and has to be admitted in to the Hospital.
He was immediately shifted to the General Hospital as it had the require ments for major surgeries .
It was heart rending but Kumar was brave and prepared to under go extremely painful surgeries because he wanted to live ,to succeed in life.
After twelve X rays had been taken in the head they found out that there was blood plasma clot in the Optic nerve running to the brain.
Chances of survival was minimal if they pass through it one ofcthe five sense will come for an attack and he would end up losing them or worse he would go in for a stroke.
It was most pathetic to see his parents breaking down when after three operations he had to under go a major surgery but he was resilient which stunned the doctors .
His appearance would resemble Cine actor Dharmendra in features ,looks and height but not in fairness. His thick hair was his proud asset and now his head had to be clean shaven .His elder sister who cocouldn't bear to see his little brother thus went down on her knees crying bitterly as sgecsaw him.minutes before the Operation.
It went for more than 6 hours before when he came out unconscious and still. His father was totally shattered and kept his spirits from falling as Kumar s mother who was an innocent fragile woman could n't take it at all even the entire family depended on him for strength so he had to hold his grits intact.
It was a miracle how Kumar survived and he came back to catch upon his passion and the Final exams were around the corner. He had been affected slightly on the right side so couldn't write in his right hand so with great confidence he learnt to wtite the exams in just a month in his left hand and one can't imagine how he success fully pulled of the plus 2 exams with good grades and his Masters at School were totally stunned.
He was much admired everywhere and got through the entrance in a prestig ious College B.Com.courses only in Evening College
He hardly attended College than Fate got to him once again and he died braving a fight for seven years .
What s incredible is the amazing way in which Kumar behaved in his tyrst with Destiny and beyond everyone's comprehension.
His cheerful demeanour and his attitude to Life was exceptionally positive and never had any one of his family or friends seen him down in spirits . Ironically he would give strength and smiles to whom so ever had visited him.
They would go back amazed. His chief doctors who operated on him would say he was the only one patient who was so patient for many would yell and cry out in pain but never once did this young boy Kumar. He could eschew pain and go through it and his family members also were in awe of it.
In his last moments of life on this earth he expressed to his tearful parents that if he came back alive he would write the C A. exams and become an auditing officer such was his passion for studies.

A sad but interesting thing happened which he recalled to his family when he went in for his 4 th surgery it seemed he went off in to a delirium he saw himself as a batsman going to hit a fast ball cutting away from the off stump and he was plum L.BW.the wicket keeper the bowler and all the players around him shouted, "He is out " strangely he too knew he was out and was about to leave the crease just then the umpire in white said, "Not Out" and he knew he would come alive out of that operation which he did for 7 years after which ruthlessly he faced his end .He interpreted that it was God who was the Umpire who gave him a chance of second innings.Hearing this dream like vision he had had, all could only feel a strange sadness pervading the soul.
Don't you readers think that Kumar gave a good fight till the end? Truly he is a model to all youngsters who are not able to face even life s small onslaughts .
Take heart ,brave the odds ,give a fight till the last is the lesson we need to learn from this real time incident.
