Ep 6: Closer and New Threats
(Continues)

It was finally night time. Rege was in his room listening to soft music play in the background while laying on his bed. Having a lot go through his mind. Why did Tanner have to come when things are already bad enough? He thought. Tanner wasn't the type of guy that would let things go easily. And the talk at school didn't really go as he thought. Quincy was already suspicious of him hiding something. But he couldn't let them find out, could he? He sighed and sat up, reaching for his phone to call Madison. Hoping she would answer he waited...but the call went straight to leave a message. Feeling very frustrated he put both hands on his head and sighed. "She's still upset about the date thing." He said to himself.

At Rj's house he was laying on his bed stomach first on his phone. His day wasn't as bad as Rege's but it still wasn't the best to him either. Turning around he heard a noise. When he looked he saw his dad. Without thinking he quickly got to his feet. He wasn't sure what his dad might try. But he did nothing. Instead, Frank just stared. And a few seconds later he opened the door all the way. Solene was standing right next to him. Rj sighed feeling relieved.

Finally at Quincy's house they were having their family dinner eating and chatting. As Quincy was eating his dad had gave him an odd look. And it could only be about one thing, Quincy thought. He still didn't let go of that note that he found in his room. And he wouldn't until he got to the bottom of it. Quincy looked back not knowing what to say. He eventually looked away and went back to eating.




The next day was here. Mr.Baren was at the good ol store working as usual. And aside from working right now, he was looking around the store at different things. And Tim had noticed.

"Looking for something? He asked.

"Uh yeah, just wanna give my son a little gift." Mr.Baren replied.

Just as he turned he saw a blue sweater the color of the bottom of the ocean and picked it up.

"You think he'll like this?" he asked holding it up at chest level.

"Getting your son a gift?! For what? Also what happened to saying that this store wasn't good for shopping, or that we hardly got any one."

Mr.Baren sighed and ignored the response."Just answer the question."

"Fine, sure. But still...why the gift?"

Without answering he grabs the sweater and walks up taking money out of his pocket and hands it to Tim. After a moment he finally speaks noticing Tim still was waiting for an answer.

"Because, I need to win my son's honesty. okay?"

"Honesty? What is he lying to you or something?" Tim questioned.

"I-I think so."

Mr. Baren wasn't sure what his son was hiding but he knew it was something. And he was determined to find out no matter what it took.

"Okay so as a parent isn't it your job to get it out of him? And not by doing stuff like this." Tim said and grabbed the jacket from him. He observed it.

"Hey it is nice, maybe he will accept it, IF... you don't tell him where you got it from." Tim teased kinda.

"You don't understand," Mr.Baren replied back. The tension had rose as he gives Tim a serious look.

"I think someone's been telling him that I'm not his family."
