Little sweet moments
She chose her cleanest piece of clothing to wear. It was a festival afterall and she wanted to celebrate with everyone else. When she stepped into the street a speeding car drove by splashing dirty water on her.
A tear fell down her cheek. The poor had no right to celebrate. Her smile fade away and started to think that she don't deserve this world.
She always ask the God “why I have to born poor? Why can't I celebrates like others? Why can't I live like others? What did I do to deserve all this torment?”
She was crying sitting and asking herself on one side, then one hand came to her head and started caressing her.
She was shocked and looked up. An old lady was standing in front of her with a smile on her face. She was confused and asked “Grandma what happened, why are you smiling?”
Old lady asked “What did you just said dear?”
Girl said “Umm.....gr-grandma....?”
Old lady said “What a sweet child you are. After a long time someone said grandma to me. What's your name dear?? You lived here?”
Girl said “My name is Blythe. I live in a orphanage.”
Old lady said “ Blythe.....what a unique and sweet name you have. Do you know it's meaning?”
Blythe said with a sad smile “No. I don't....it was given by my mother when I lived with her......but after she's gone.... nothing left for me except this name given by her.”
Old lady said “Ohh... sorry dear. You know Blythe means cheerful, happy and carefree.”
Blythe said “Its ok grandma. What a beautiful meaning of my name but sadly my name didn't describe my life. My life exact the opposite of my name......”
Old lady said “Its ok dear. Although life is full of struggles but life is beautiful too. Its upon how people can see the life. Now tell me dear why are you crying?”
Blythe said “I wanna join the festive celebration but a speeding car drove by splashing the dirty water on me and ruin my dress. Now what should I do? How can I go to the celebration spot with this dirty clothes??”
Old lady smiled and said “Don't cry dear. Come to my shop. There are a lot of fine dresses for you. You can have any and its free of cost.”
Blythe said excitingly “Really??? I can?? Thank you so much grandma..”
Old lady said smiling “No need dear. And from now on you can come to shop anytime. I'll make you new dresses for free and you can spend time with me as much as you can.”
Blythe said with sparkling eyes “Thank you so much grandma. Finally I have a friend with whom I can share everything. I finally got the family.”
Blythe and grandma were very happy and enjoyed the celebration together.
“Sometimes a person's presence in someone's life is enough to make them feel happy and touched. No matter what the age is or who that person is or whether they know eachother or not.”
