Saniya was happily walking on the road,as she returned her home from college.She usually used to be,like who isn't happy to get back home?But that day,one more reason was added to her happiness.Her friend Maya had won the inter state singing competition held in her college.So Maya's friends including Saniya,Sameera, Disha,Jaya,had planned a little surprise for her,Which would be cutting a cake.
So as planned, Four of them told Maya to reach at the Fresher's Cafe exactly at 6:00.Saying her that it had been a long time they all had met, and all of them wanted to spend time with each other, though they talked regularly on social media.

This day was really a special one ,as all these friends were going to meet for the first time after their pre-university days started. It had almost been 6 months.Whenever the plan to meet was made, one or the other would have their college lecturers or their coaching classes.But now finally, everyone was going to come.

Saniya reached home and She quickly dressed up.She even skipped her evening breakfast though she was hungry and reached the Cafe to help her friends with the decorations for Maya's surprise.It was 6:00 and they all waited for Maya to come.And as Maya entered the Cafe she couldn't believe her eyes .
Her friends couldn't afford party poppers,so they bursted the leftover balloons,to welcome her.
And right in front of Maya's eyes she could see a table, where they placed a cake for her.

She cut the cake and then the Cafe,which was silent and where only murmurs were heard ,now was laughing as it seen these girls giggling , cracking their lame jokes,and remembering the good old days of their school life.

And then they bid Goodbye to each other, promising that they would meet when they get free time.

Saniya was happy as she reached her home.But She didn't knew more amount of happiness was waiting for her.
The next day when she reached college,she got to know about a inter state drawing competition that was going to take place.She without thinking twice, registered herself and participated in the competition.She was very good at drawing and even loved it.And finally on the day of the competition,she gave her best,not having a goal to bag the first price,but to only do it, because she loved it.

And when she entered her college, after one week,she was overjoyed to know that she won the competition and had bagged the first prize.
That day when she reached her home and told her family about the news,the first thing she did was , taking blessings from the Almighty and her Parents.
And secondly she informed her girl gang about this.
Each one of them was equally overjoyed as she was.
But you know we humans have this behaviour, whatever good we do to our loved ones, somewhere we expect it to come back in the same form to us.
But that cannot always be the case.
That's what exactly happened with Saniya.
She was expecting that her girl gang would give her a surprise the same way they gave it to Maya
Months passed after She had won that prize and still she was waiting that one day they all would call her and say that they wanted to meet and with that reason would surprise her.
But it didn't happen.
She started feeling sad.She would have these formal kind of conversations with her girl gang on social media.
Everyone taught that she might be busy with her studies and no would question her much.But ,Disha could somewhere feel that ,this wasn't the Saniya She knew,so she personally asked her the reason,but Saniya didn't tell her the truth.

Saniya started having mixed kind of thoughts,'Am i not important to them as they are to me?',And at the same time she would even have these kind of thoughts, 'Or maybe I'm overreacting and behaving in a selfish manner?'

Also at the same time she would think,'Its okay Saniya,you all are friends aren't you,that too best ones,so even a wish from their side would be enough.'
But somewhere the child in her would say,'But why they didn't do it?It doesn't seem that they are busy so that they couldn't get time.'
This thought would be dismissed by,'Maybe they might not have mentioned in their talks,but they really would be?.'

But one day a video on the internet brought her out from this confusing thoughts.

The video said
'if you really love somebody,then you have to act selflessly,for love isn't about what can I get from my loved one,it is about what can I give to him/her.'
This healed her somewhere and she now knew the true meaning of loving somebody.

And now she was a girl who had a heart of a child and a brain of a matured person.

And she realized,what it really means to be mature minded.
