CORONA VIRUS

Sitting on the hospital bench beside my best friend while playing Mobile Legend, someone caught our attention. A cute girl sings melodiously while swaying her teddy bear.

"She sings well… " someone commented.

True enough she sings well. The girl looked at me and smiled before she continues singing. Gwen turned herself to talk to me.

"The doctor said Aila needs a bone marrow test, imaging test, and another spinal fluid test. I feel sorry for my younger costume," said Gwen.

I stopped controlling my hero.

"Mom can lend you some money," I replied.

"That's not the problem..."

"Then what?"

"My uncle was infected..."

"Infected? From what?"

"Coronavirus."

I was stunned for a while.

"Coronavirus?"

Seriously?

"You're just kidding aren't you?" I said with a hint of worry.

I feel nervous.

"Kelly, jokes are funny." The seriousness in her voice was very evident.

I bit my lower lip. Of course, it is. But fuck, coronavirus is not a joke!

"MAMA!"

We both looked in the direction where a girl cried after seeing and calling her mom. Her mother didn't hug the girl instead she stopped walking leaving a distance between her and the girl. She's kind of sick.

A scene where a mother cries soundly and a daughter tries to go near her caught many people's attention. It's like there's a shooting here and they are the main casts.

"Mama! Let's go home," said the girl.

The mother shook her head and steps backward.

"Baby, you're going home with your papa, okay? Mama is staying here in the hospital," her mother replied.

The girl cried loudly and tried to reach her mother but the father restrained her.

"No, no. You can't touch me, baby. Mama loves you so much. Be good okay?" The mother keeps stepping backward.

"Mama!"

Four nurses came and dragged the mother away from the father and their daughter. The mother keeps protesting. The audience was confused and so do I. Why would nurses drag her? Even the father of the girl didn't stop them.

"Are you crazy, mister? Your wife is being dragged by those nurses and you didn't stop them?" an old woman asked the father.

Then he burst into tears. We all gasped.

"My wife is infected by coronavirus and the doctor said it can't be treated because there's no vaccine at this moment. My poor wife can't even touch, kiss and hug our daughter to say goodbye for a while. Tell me how unfair is this world?"

After hearing those words my tears fell.
