Who Knew Emo Girls Had The Prettiest Faces (Part 3)
If my mom won't let me go out with Jade, then I guess I'll just have to disobey her and go out with her without permission, it's much easier. I don't even care if she finds out. This date was after school, Jade made me get onto her motorcycle when I said I was just gonna run and follow her.

We went to a fancy restaurant across town, then to the dog park, then the farm, and we ended our date by just walking around the block to see the sunset. "This is one of the most awesome dates I've ever went to." I said, "I know, that's why I decided to take you out." she laughed

"Jade?"

"Huh?"

"Did you love me when we were kids?"

"Yeah, when I used to pick on you, that was how I showed my love."

"Weird way to show love, but okay."

We continued our walk, but Jade looked at me like I had something on my face, she must've wanted to talk more, but I just wanted to go along with our walk and silently enjoy our date. "Hey, Braden."

"Yes, Jade?"

And out of nowhere, she kissed my cheek.

"What was that for?" I asked, "I want to talk more when I make that face, but you ignore my expressions." she replied, I buried my face deep in my hands as my face turned red, she held my shoulder and laughed at my embarrassment. "Jade." I broke the silence, "I-"

"I know what you're gonna say, and I get it. Your mom doesn't like me, and your gonna be dead when you get home, but get this. You're only dead if your mom finds out."

She was like some kind of mind reader, I couldn't believe it.

When I got home, things weren't going so well, I haven't said a word at the table and my mom was staring at me. "Son, Mrs. Harbor told me you were out with Jade again." my mom said, "So?"

"I thought I told you not to hang out with that girl anymore, she's trouble. Braden, how can I trust you if you keep disobeying me?"

"I don't want you to trust me if you can't trust Jade."

"Excuse me?"

I just talked back to my own mother, how careless of me, but it was worth it. "Braden, that was completely rude! You're almost sounding exactly like Jade!", "Mom, I wouldn't have to act like her if you could just trust her! But no! You just decide to never just control yourself and settle a score with your enemies, you never do that!"

That argument went on for quite some time, I didn't even want my dinner anymore, instead, I wanted to just go blow off some steam and go for a walk. "Don't bother to wait up, I'm not coming back!" I yelled at my mother, I pushed my dad out of the way when I saw that he was back from work, and just stomped away from my home. I stopped at the Bus Stop and pretended to check a text on my phone, I was really upset about my mother. Why couldn't everyone just settle a score with their enemies?
