love?
We have been called to walk in Love.
I remember pondering on this words
I never thought I hated anyone,
so why the lecture like I was a walking time bomb ready to explode.
Then later, I realized that I was.
And now these three remain, faith hope and love but the greatest of these is love.
Why so?
You see love, I've come to discover makes us up our being from the intricate parts of us, it is who we literally are because we were made in the image of God who is the definition of love.
Love is far from just a feeling or something based on sentiments, it is what we need for our survival, it is a decision that we must make everyday of our lives.
When we wake in the morning, we should do it in love, when we eat, we eat in love, when we go out to meet people, we do so in love.
We can not separate from this because this is who we are and if we dare turn off the switch and decide not to love, then the darkness come, we feel suddenly empty.
I know it can be hard to make that decision to show love, even to those who hurt you, made you feel small. You've probably heard the message over and over, love your enemies and those who persecute you,
But it's almost like there's this wall staring at you in the face and it's reflecting back all the painful memories you've been through but I beg you, look away and try and walk round that wall to see what God has installed for you in a life filled with love.
Look, the devil knows that "love" itself it's our true nature and when we can follow our true calling, all other things needed to live a live that gives glory to God will be easy. No wonder that the greatest commandment is to love both God and man.
So the devil, because he is the prince of this world, he tempts us with hurtful pasts that causes lifelong trauma to derail us from our path that the Lord has made for us.
But, He has been defeated because in Christ we are more than conqueror .
Let Christ help you carry that pain and mend your heart, He died so that we will be set free and not need to carry the heavy burden alone.
Let Him free you, so you can be truly who He created you to be. A beautiful soul filled with love and light.
