If there’s one thing I’ve come to understand about people and the world, it’s this: you can’t truly see a butterfly or a rose and appreciate it solely for its beauty. To see them fully, you need to understand the struggle and transformation behind them—because that’s where their true beauty lies. Perhaps that’s why a rose has thorns—to remind us that “where we see beauty, there’s bound to be buried pain.” Every blossom and winged creature has faced its own struggle to become beautiful in the end.
