Little Annie lived in a small town with her parents long ago. They were poor but very happy, everyday little Annie was given money by her mother to buy a loaf of bread from the town’s bakery, on her way to the baker she always passed a little toy shop. There were many toys in the toy shop but one in particular caught her eye, it was a little porcelain doll with pale skin, blue eyes , a pointed nose and black hair. Every time she passed by she would stop and stare lovingly at the doll but she knew she couldn’t have it because she would never be able to afford it, her family barely survived as it was they had no extra money for toys.
