Who Knew Emo Girls Had The Prettiest Faces (Part 4)
I started crying with my face buried in my hands, I couldn't stop thinking about how I argued with my mom and what she's gonna do about me and Jade, I was too overwhelmed by it all. I wanted to just forget about the fact that I sassed my mom.

"Hey! Kid!" I heard a woman call out to me, "Are you the Braden my daughter's been talking about?" she asked, "Yes, yes I am. And you must be Mrs. Harbor." I observed. "I am. Come with me, I've been meaning to have you over one day." she offered, I walked up to her and got into her SUV.

Once we got to her house, she had me sit on the couch next to Jade, she then went into the kitchen to make some tea, I don't know what kind of tea it was, but it was tea. While Ms. Harbor was in the kitchen, and Jade was sitting next to me, I was alone in my thoughts, thinking what kind of son I am to talk back to my mother. I was a man with a heart full of mistake.

Jade gave me a light smack on the cheek, "What you thinking about?" she asked, "Jade, babe, I have done the stupidest thing a son could ever do to his mother." I replied. "Like what?" she asked, "I talked back to her and left my house past curfew, on this very night." I replied, Jade rolled her eyes playfully, thinking I was stupid. "So? I had some very adult attitude when I was 5-9." the punk emo girl next to me said.

"That's different, Jade. My mom put her trust in me for a long time, and now I broke that trust, leaving the scraps behind." I said, metaphorically, "I get it, your mom hates me, but that doesn't mean we can't still date. Just trick her into putting her trust in me, that'll do the trick." she planned, I nodded in agreement.

The next day, I invited Jade over to my house, and guided her to the kitchen, and the first thing we saw was my mother. "What. Is. She. Doing. Here?" mother asked, "I'm tired of you two not getting along, so I invited Jade over for a little while so you two can become friends." I replied, the two sat down at the dinner table, shooting icy stares at each other.

I left the kitchen, but I kept my ear against the door, just to make sure everything's going okay. The first words came from my mother,...

"So...how's your mother?"

"She's fine, she surfs for money now."

"That's great."

"How's Braden?"

"He's doing great, but I already feels as if he suffers enough pain dating you."

"He doesn't suffer from me, it's all you."

"What do you mean?"

"You've had a lot of enemies, and you're always too stubborn to set your differences aside and compromise with them."

"Unlike you?"

"Yeah, unlike me. I compromised with my enemies and made sure they forgot about it, and I suggest you do the same."

"...Thank you, Jade."

After that friendly conversation, my mom let me date Jade, and she also made a truce to all her enemies.

THE END.
