Nostalgia was always my favourite feeling because it felt like home.

The scent of Dettol soap, the taste of tea in a train, DVDs reflecting rainbows, animated movies I'd re-watch till both my unfortunate parents and I had the dialogues memorized...
It beckons to better times, that emotion blossoming warmth in my heart... ribs cradling it like my favourite blue blanket when I was younger.

And someday, angel, you will be nostalgia too.

When the sun sinks in the sea, its rays a violent red, slowly snuffed to soft shades of pink, I will remember you, because you like pink, don't you?
I'll see you in cotton candies and periwinkles and I will smile pink in a world of blue tears.

When I hit my playlist on shuffle, songs streaking through my head in imaginary scenarios... and a song you recommended shows up, I'll think of you as the tunes twirl. I'll dance along with them, in a secret garden of spring flowers and sparrows.

Diagrams of dinorawrs in yellowed encyclopaedias, the word, "serendipity" in dictionaries, sculptures of angels, Christmas and October, all of them, they're all reminders of you.

My angel, who once called himself cold with a soul so caring, you will be the most comforting feeling I have ever known.
