2- Do You Have Any Wish?

He was sitting near Aman, staring at his closed eyes which were traveling to the dream world, the only place where he used to get some relaxation, happiness, so what if that place wasn't reliable but that was the only place where he could love his past's beautiful moments, where he could travel his past again!
Suddenly Neil's phone rang, he sollowed something that was stuck in his throat and took a deep breath, he looked at phone, his wife Neelam was calling him.

"Hello Neelam"

"Where are you?" Another voice seemed a little upset.

"I am in the hospital" he replied half-heartedly.

"It's eleven o'clock at night, will you be in the hospital tonight too?"

"I might have to stay here tonight too."

"You have been staying there for almost a month, is there an emergency?" She asked in a concerned voice

He said while looking at Nisha "Yes, here is a great responsibility, a patient who is in very critical condition"

"There are many other doctors, they can look after him."

"No one can look after him, no one can treat him, no one can do anything," he said in a sorrowful voice.

"Okay, please, take some rest too, I love you!" And the call was disconnected.

"How can I take a rest?" he whispers.

Neil kept staring at Aman until the night took him to the dream world. He slept on the same chair as he always did.

The next day he took Aman out of the hospital. He took him to show a movie. He just wanted to make Aman happy, wanted to fulfil the wishes he wrote in his diary, Aman didn't want something much, he just wanted to spend some time with him.
Aman didn't say a single word. He neither opposed his offer nor appreciated.

They were sitting together in the theatre but there was no talk between them at all, Neil was seeing Aman's face again and again but he couldn't see any emotion on that face. Aman was neither sad nor happy. Neither seemed excited nor angry.

Neil was thinking "Is he the same Aman whom I met 8 years ago? Aman who used to smile endlessly when he
was with me, whose face used to show his happiness of being with me...but this Aman... he is now emotionless!" he sobbed "And I am the reason, I am responsible for his this condition."

After showing him the movie, he kept driving on an empty road for a long time. Actually, he wanted to talk to him but he didn't know where to start and Aman was silently looking at the green trees outside the window. He stopped the car but Aman did not say anything, he didn't even ask him where he did take him.
It was a beautiful ground with green grass all around, and the whole city looked beautiful from that height.

He opened the car gate and landed Aman down, both of them sat there, he got the tiffin out of the car.
He opened the tiffin and as always, fed Aman with his hands but Aman didn't say a single word, he neither smile nor rejected his offer, just kept eating food quietly.
Aman was starting at him with blank eyes but Neil couldn't gather enough dare to make an eye contact with him. He kept looking at ground grass. After that Aman turned to other side and fills fresh air in his lungs and started looking at that beautiful view, Neil also sat close to him.

"Neil, why are you doing all this?" Suddenly Aman asked without looking at him.

Neil turned towards him but Aman was still looking at the greeneries. Neil replied "Just fulfilling some dreams that I ever had shown you, just completing those false promises that I ever made."

Aman did not say anything, neither smiled nor shouted why he had made fake promises, when he didn't want to keep them. Why he had shown those dreams, when he didn't want to live them.

After some time, Aman leaned his head on Neil's shoulder, a smile brightened on Neil's face that Aman still trusted him but he forgot that he already had snatched this right from him.

Previously, during their college time, they used to sit in the garden like this for hours, Aman used to put his head on his shoulder and used to say"Neil how fast your heart is beating so rapidly...

And he used to reply "Taking your name, Aman" whenever he used to answer any of Aman's questions he used to become silent started to look at him with wet eyes. He might think that someone loves him so much

"Aman, do you have any wish?" Neil asked.

Aman said in a lost voice as if he was thinking something very deep, "I have only one wish, just one. And I have come here to fulfil the same wish."

Neil was about to say "What is ..." suddenly, he felt someone's hand on his shoulder.

When he turned back, he saw that his wife was standing,

"Neelam, you?"

His wife was glaring at Aman.

"Who is he, Neil?" She said in a disgusted voice.

"Neelam, I will tell you everything"

He held Neelam's hand and tries to take her away from there but she jerks and leaves his hand,

"Talk right here" she almost shouted "Who is this? Wasn't this the reason you were not coming home for the last one month?"

"Neelam keep your voice down, we can also talk like this" he said while his eyes were on Aman.

Aman, who stood silently, stunned, he was looked very scared, "I did wrong I should not come back" he whispered

"Who is the hell is he? Is he trapping you?" Neelam shouted louder.

"Neelam, enough!" Neil shouted

"You just come with me" she held Neil's wrist and started taking him far away from Aman...

"Neil" Aman spoke and fainted and fell to the ground. Neil released his hand from Neelam and turned towards Aman and held him before falling on the ground, he placed Aman's head on his lap.

"Aman...please open your eyes, please... You can't do this with me" He started sobbing "Aman, I promise, I won't leave you again, I will never ever go anywhere far from you!... please open your eyes, please...Aman please" he started crying bitterly.

Neelam called for the ambulance, the ambulance arrived and Aman was taken to the hospital, Neel was constantly crying badly even in the ambulance and begging to Aman to open her eyes.

Aman was in the hospital, everyone was preparing for emergency treatment but Neil was still sobbing, and staring at him
"It is just because of me, I made him in this condition,.... just because of me, I am the reason... So
"Doctor this is your patient, and he is so serious, his condition is very critical," Nurse said.

Neil says "I can't do this, I can't do this, I will not be able to treat him" he hiccupped.

"Doctor, you are the best doctor of this hospital"

"He doesn't need the best doctor, appoint a good doctor for him, hurry up, call doctor Mishra"

He ran outside the room and Aman's treatment starts. He sat outside on the bench and started crying bitterly.

Neelam was silently watching all this standing in the corner, she could not understand anything. She sat near Neil and placed his hand on his shoulder and Neil hugs Neelam.

Neelam said "Don't worry Neil, everything will be alright"

Neil sobbed "Nothing will be alright...nothing, he is at the last stage" Neil starts crying bitterly.

Neelam calms Neil down. Then Neil gets up and peeks inside from the glass on the door, Aman was being treated.

"Do you know Neelam, me and Aman were in the same school, and when I saw him for the first time, s.he looked very different. At that time, this face did not look so strange, there was a glow on this face. His eyes were not so disappointed, he had hope and a desire to be happy. I am responsible for her this condition, I broke him, I broke his trust." He hit his hand against the wall."

"What happened Neil, What did you do with him? How did you break his trust?" Neelam asked.
