BLoG: Being a Professional Freelancer
We are professional freelancers. We help others build their business. As we wear many hats we are able to bounce around from industry to industry on any given day. Today we are on site to help a fellow photographer grow their business. How does that work? Well, by me being here, he can be elsewhere covering another event or creating relationships that lead to business growth. And knowing the results will be the same as if they were here themselves puts them in the best mental capacity to be present where ever they may be.
We have many years in photography. What started out as a hobby, became a passion that has span many years in this industry and profession. In fact we have been in this particular industry for 25 years or more as I started at the tender age of 16. Back then we learned how to expose film and then develope it. In those days there was no LED display to look at the image. You had to know what you were doing! Long story short, and hop ahead to the present, here we are doing what we LooVe to do.
(1) Help others: We are a team player. We set our specs to that of the client. We give them the quality that they are striving for in their own endeavors. We give all we got, as if it were you servicing our own client. We help to strengthen your brand! And Branding is key for any company striving to grow. (2) Chase our passions: We are addicted to the adventures in which we find ourselves. Every day is something different. Though we wear many hats we are only chasing one dream. That dream is to stay employed doing what we LooVe to do. As long as we are in our creative world/state of mind, we are happy. And life is about such little things as being happy and being content with what you do.
We work "on the fly" taking things as they come. Ready for anything, as they say. Expecting the unexpected. Prioritize things as they are needed. Never panicking while under the pressure to provide dynamic service. We access/manage damage control well, when it's needed. Our (over 20 years of management) comes into play quite a bit. As we maneuver our way through a job/event. It's important to maintain a level and calm demeanor/nature. Never let them see you sweat, as they say. Always be ready to handle whatever comes at you. We are true professionals in the industries we serve. So until we meet again, be well and live to serve. The results can be so rewarding.
