Life in the moment
"I just want to feel something" She muttered to her reflection again. She kept saying that like it was an excuse for all her reckless behaviour. Scarlet was eighteen years old, with raven coloured hair, she was a gothic lover, she loved her dark wacky clothes, much to her parents dislike.
Since becoming a Edward's girlfriend all she seemed to do was get in to trouble. Something she had become rather accustomed to. He was a year older than she was, he had short dark spikey hair and was a biker, with mesmerizing blue eyes. Whom trouble just seemed to follow.
"What is it you want to feel?" A voice said from behind her, she turned to see Edward sitting on her window sill, this had become his habit instead of using the front door, he liked to climb through her window.
"I dunno really, just something other than having this feeling of numbness" she answered
"Numbness" he asked, he walked over to her, taking her in his arms lightly he kissed her.
"Still feeling numb?" he asked
"That's not what I mean" she told him, "Don't worry about it" she added.
"Kinda hard not to, when you're telling me you feel numb inside" He answered

That evening they both went to their usual hangout at a run down car park where they usually met friends with their motor bike, where they played music, the guys had races and the girls would drink and dance.
"You both made it" Franklin said, pleased to see them both.
"Yes we did" Edward replied, putting his arm around Scarlet, she leaned into him lightly.
"Brody was looking for you" she told Edward
"I'm sure he was, probably wants that race we're supposed to have the other night, before the cops showed up." he answered. "Gonna' go and look for him" he told them and with that left the girls alone.

"They're getting ready over there" Franklin informed Scarlet, "Come on we should try and get a better view from over there" she added, she took hold of Scarlet's arm and dragged her towards the crowd, that was already forming.
"Not sure we're going to see much from here" Scarlet pointed out
"So we push in, your V.I.P anyway, out of everyone here he would want to see you in the crowd more than anyone else" Franklin said. she took hold of Scarlet's arm again leading her through the crowd right to the front
"Hey we've been waiting ages for this, you can't just push in" A bloke complained
"She's his girlfriend." She stated, as if that covered every angle of this argument. The bloke looked at Scarlet for a moment, she nodded in response.
"You'd better stand up here then" he said allowing her through.

As the race began she watched in anticipation like everyone else did, watching him speed off along the car park filled her with excitement just as much as worry, these races weren't exactly safe, so every time Edward did one there was a chance something could go wrong.
She watched as they raced at one point she got a little worried as his bike went up in the air on one wheel, as he did a wheelie, but the bike came back down on it's own in the end, which was when she let out a sigh of relief and even more so when he actually won the race too, she ran over to him along with the crowd that were all pushing in front of her, she watched him push his way through the crowd to get to her and took her in his arms with a huge smile.
