Faded
There once was a Whale in the deep blue who felt like an outsider in his own pod.
Even when he was a calf he would breach the surface all by himself to touch the sun and ride on the air.
The Sun showed him the way and the Air let him live it.
But when the night came, he felt quiet lost and lonely.
And in that darkness he got lost in the deep blue.
Suddenly the pressure of everything and nothing at all was all he could feel.
So he escaped straight up to the surface in blind haste.
Upon breaking the waters and gulping deep breaths, he felt alive, for the night.
Dreading the dark and vast he lay still in the waters drifting along with the high seas.
Then he saw something up above, tiny yet bright, blinking away up in the Sky.
He remembered hearing of the Skies with lights that gleam, bursting into thousands...
