When anger comes chapter 6.
Every sunday we will go to see her. well this particular sunday we went to see her and I noticed that she had been fighting someone and I asked her what happened and she said the child that she had helped raised had tried to rob her and she said he had just ran out of the house before we pulled up. so I called the police and notified the rest of the family of what had happened. when the police came she told them what happened and I told them yall need to find him before me cause I'm going to kill him. I told them if he walk up now and turn his self in I kill him right in front of yall. I was going to remove him from this earth. well the police told me to come and sit in his car and cool off cause he knew how I felt. anybody who would do that to an elderly person. I took her to the hospital she got her hand cut doing the struggle and it had to be stitched up.after we left the hospital I took her to the police station to press charges and make a positive I'd on the person Michael who attacked her. well when we got to the police station the first thing we see is his mother talking all loud saying it wasn't my son Michel he was at his cousin house. that was a dam lie like my grandmother didn't know who attacked her for goodness sake. she had help raise this child and he had went and got on drugs and because she stayed by herself and she knew him he would rob her. thank God we came up when we did. but she also gave him something to remember she told the police officer to go and look at his neck because she pulled the skin off. with her finger nails. well when they went and pulled down his shirt they had him they gave him eight years to serve and every time he came up for parole I said no. so I kept going up there to see her because Sunday was the only time I had off I worked two jobs all the time. My grandma had got her a little kitten and one day she was trying to cook and some how the pot fell out of her hand and the water got on her little kitten and when we got there she was crying and had her kitten wrapped in a towel on her bed and I told her the kitten had died and she cried even harder.I felt my grandmother pain and I told her it would be okay. after that I would take my girls up there to stay with her every weekend. she enjoyed that. one weekend we went there and she had cut the gas on by mistake and didn't know it and right then I knew she could no longer stay by her self in that apartment. so me and my sister's got together and ask her which one of us she wanted to stay with and she said she didn't want to move out of the apartment. but she had to because we didn't want anything to happen to our mom. so we had her son to talk with her and he would go over to the apartment every day to take her some lunch and sit and talk with her until he had to go back to work. well we finally convinced her to come and stay with one of us because she said she never wanted to go in a nursing home and long as we were alive she wasn't. well she said she didn't want to move to hickory with me and she didn't want to stay with no one but she didn't have a choice. just like the Bible says one adult twice a child. it was our time to take care of her like she took care of us.she put her life on hold to take care of us so she went to live with our older sister. I seen the life go out of her then so as time went on and I got off work I would always go see her and spend some time talking to her and making sure she was okay. well after a while I left my children father he had became so abusive same trends different people. so I knew I had to leave him so I called my cousin Bobby to help me move. when I first met him he was a good man. but he change over time. he was the type of man that never wanted to be away from his family in hickory and believe everything they said no matter what. well we had a couple of bad fights that's something no women should have to go through. he didn't want me to work but I wanted too so he started to be very violence, fights just not me. I went and pressed charges on him and the police wouldn't arrest him cause he worked for the city hall. well before things got bad I had already asked him to let's move away but he didn't want to he wanted to stay around his family. so as me as a mother I couldn't allow my babies to grow up in that kind of situation.
