She looked at me for sometime from that lake, I was so lost and was mesmerized at her appearance.... It felt so magical to me. I noticed her long beautiful floating hair, a slim figured and chiseled faced girl, with a mysterious smile glowing on her face. She was smiling at me and then with her long pink colour shining tail she dived into the water. I stayed there even when she left. I came to my reality when my dad hugged me from behind, " I know this is your, favourite place honey, but you shouldn't forget , about your family and your daily routine dear. " I kept looking at the lake and asked him that day, " Daddy, do you belive in fantasy world? "
" What?" He was surprised to that question I had asked. " Please daddy tell me. " I demanded answer. He smiled at me, " Savanna! " he carresed my hair and told "I know, I know dear, my mother I mean your grandma used to tell me the same story to you... right? that also goes for me.... but now u r not a child anymore u r going to be 18 dear in this year. Fantasy world doesn't exist, it's just a imagination world, created by we humans, there is nothing a creature called mermaid... It's just a myth.... Well... I think tomorrow is a great day and it's your birthday. Now let's go dear... it's getting late..... come on."
That night I couldn't sleep, I was thinking about that mermaid, about Vanessa and there were 1000 of questions to answer. Am I really imagining things? but that girl with long tail? this was also my imagination? Fantasy world is really a fake? or true? Thinking thinking and thinking trying to find the answers until I ended up sleeping in my bed. "Savanna! dear Savanna." I opened my eyes. " Who are you? " I asked. " You can't recognize me! I am a mermaid see? " The girl of yesterday night, carried a birthday cake and turned into a complete mermaid in front of me.
" AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" I screamed and found my sisi Ema pouring cold water on me. I was dreaming!! " Good morning, Happy Birth Day to you....Wakey wakey big sisi!" She wished me. "Oh Gosh! Ema! Just look!what have you done? I am all wet." I stood up from the bed trying to clean the water with my hand. I took my mobile, and look at the time,
" Oh no, it's already 8 am I am going late for my school. " I ran immediately. I heard Ema was telling, " Atlast give me a thank u dear sisi. " I left.
Ema: Ok, mentioned not please. I will always be available in service, dear sister.
I ran as fast as I can in school, I reached my school the the bell rang.... Oh no first period is over.... Great just great Savanna!! I ran inside the entrance when, "Whoops! " I felt two strong muscular arms holding me tight, and was protecting me from falling.Though he was wearing a school uniform, but I could see those rock like masculine body was peeping inside from that uniform. The time stopped, I gulped a lump inside my throat, I was having tensions a strange feeling engulfed me, I mean it was intoxicating feeling which I never felt before. I looked up to check my saviour.Then our eyes met... I was drowning to his oceanic colour eyes more and more deep inside. But not for more as,
" Savanna Chrise, come to my office... Now " This announcement of our Principal Mrs. Tala, forced me to return to my reality world and I got to senses back. I turned away from his eye contact and picked up my my excercise book from the floor and ran towards the Principal office. I don't know what's wrong with me.... something was there in those eyes which were so attractive, intoxicating that anyone can lost in those eyes.
I reached to Principal's room with my head down.
" May I come in " with a trembling and soft voice I asked.
Principal : Please come in and take your seat
I entered, with gentle step I approached and took my seat. " Actually..... you are misunderstanding, this is my first time and I..." I tried to convinced, " I perfectly understand you, that's why I have called you, for a responsibility. "She informed in the middle of my words. I was surprised,
" Responsibility? sorry, I can't get it ma'am, what are you talking about? "' I asked.
Principal: We have decide that tomorrow, we will have a picnic.. We will be heading to a spot .... I want you to take the responsibility to lead the students of your class...... I mean I want you to be the leader of your class.
A what? am I dreaming? I pinched myself, no it's not a dream. I was longing to be a leader just once in my life. But that was a dream which I used to dreamt and that day it happened, it came true. I felt a little bit nervous, Mrs, Tala could understand that feeling. She ensured," I can understand, this is your first time, it's normal to be nervous... But I have believe in you.... u can do it.... I know.... don't worry dear.... all should be right. U will be good in this job.... U have got this. " Those words were simple but still those words gave me strength. I have got this.. I can do this I have to!!!
