Chapter-2 The Four Noble Truths

According to Buddist teachings, there are four noble truths.
1. The truth of pain/suffering
2. The truth of origin of pain/ cause of suffering
3. The truth of cessation/extinction of pain/suffering
4. The truth of path leading to the cessation/extinction of pain/suffering.

The four noble truths are also called as the truth or realities for the spiritually worthy ones, i.e., noble ones.

The truth of pain/suffering is an innate characteristic existence in the realm of life which is a painful suffering and incapable of satisfying. The one who's in pain or suffering must know that they hold the origin, reasons and links of that suffering. If one choses to come out of the pain and giving a chance to end it, there's always a way for them to attain the possibility.

The truth of origin of pain/ cause of suffering arises from the desire or attachments through accumulation of delusion and negative action if sentient beings. Our desires and expectations are the main cause for pain. There's no point in life that should happen according to our desires. If it's fulfilled or satisfying, we'd enjoy the situation and at some point it inevitably changes or leaves and ultimately be the cause of the sufferings.

The truth of pain/suffering and the truth of origin of pain/ cause of suffering illustrate life's essences and causes of it's formation.

The truth of cessation/extinction of pain/suffering can be attained by renouncement and it can be eradicated. Letting go is never the hardest thing to do. Letting go of what already is not meant for is absolutely the right thing to do. We cannot let go the sufferings because of the attachments without realising that it isn't attached to us anymore.

The truth of path leading to the cessation/extinction of pain/suffering is the ways to eliminate the sufferings through renouncement. The ultimate destination of life is to end the sufferings by accepting the fact, considering the cause and choosing the right path to walk away.

The truth of cessation/extinction of pain/suffering and the truth of path leading to the cessation/extinction of pain/suffering illuminate the destination of our lives ultimately- liberation and the way of liberation.

The function of the four truths, and their importance, developed over time and the Buddhist tradition slowly recognized them as the Buddha's first teaching.

The four noble truths make explicit the structure within which one should seek enlightenment; as a symbol, the four noble truths evoke the possibility of enlightenment.

As a symbol, they refer to the possibility of awakening, as represented by the Buddha.

Cessation is nirvana which is suppressing or eradication or letting go and attains peace of mind.

When nirvana is attained, no more karma is being produced, and rebirth and dissatisfaction will no longer arise again.

The path to the cessation of, or liberation from pain is by following the Noble Eightfold Path, to liberation restraining oneself, cultivating discipline, and practicing mindfulness and meditation, one starts to disengage from craving and clinging to impermanent states and things, and rebirth and dissatisfaction will be ended.
