Chapter 7 – Challenges vs Obstacles
Suddenly, the arrow sign in front of us shooted up high with boom sound and vanished in atmosphere. It was time to begin. There were 10 junctions to be passed through to win the game, starting from MYSTERICA to CREEPICA. Dad started the engine of the car and initiated the move. We managed to get through the first three junctions very easily as there were no obstacles, not even a person or car. However, the sky was getting its shade and becoming darker. The sun was about to get its rest and settle down. At the forth junction, life breaking moments were witnessed. A man with frog legs approached us vigorously. However, we managed to tackle him with Dad’s amazing driving skills. We would never deny that as Dad was our savior for the day. What a relief! Going on to the next junctions, there were many other deadly and weird creatures ahead. Surprisingly we coped really well to get rid of them and reached the ninth junction frantically. However, luck was not on our side and we were unable to cross the CREEPICA junction. Dad was unable to handle the obstacles ahead. The creatures became more aggressive and started to damage our car. Dad lost control and eventually our car bunked to a tree. We were all unconscious. The moment I regained back my consciousness, mom and dad were not there. I got panicked and helpless. I had a great relief when I saw Albert lying on the ground. He was unconscious. I checked his pulse and I could barely hear his heartbeat. My brain got stung and tried really hard to wake him up. No response given. I had basic knowledge of first aid, so I did the CPR treatment. With God’s grace, he regained his life back. Our location were unknown as it was dark, we were covered by trees, relying on nature’s help to find mom and dad back.
