I reached the central park which was full of people holding their cameras, eyes sparkling in the night sky. There were so many people but I felt alone. Like, something was missing, I didn't know how to describe that feeling. The children were running around, women were busy clicking pictures, lovers were holding hands looking at the sky. I was alone, standing there waiting for that meteor shower that was about to change my life. My eyes were looking for someone in that crowd. And, I spotted that someone. He was there holding hands with her new lover, the hands which were meant for me, whispering something, maybe the promises which were never fulfilled with his ex lover. "It was easy for him! after all!" I realised. I was somehow happy thay he kept atleast one word of his. "Let's move on!" he had said and he did.
Suddenly,
Everyone froze with their eyes stuck at the sky. There was not even a single voice. I looked above and saw the entire galaxy coming on earth and dying in the form of glittering, spectaculous, marvelous, shooting stars. I remembered my last wish." Lets pray for the one we love the most!" I saw him, lips entangled with her. There were tears in my eyes as my lips unknowingly uttered the word, "ME!". Finally, I was able to bridge the gap between the shooting star and myself. We both were broken but we both were shining. I left the place fulfilling my last wish. I wasn't able to see the star beside him, but was able to see it with him. And as i left the place, there were tears in my eyes and smile on my face for I had moved on! Finally, I had!
