Today, there is a multitude of students who regularly use ChatGPT, but very few who use it without harming themselves.

And no. I ain’t one of those who freak out at the mention of AI. I just believe that whether AI harms us or not depends on how we use it.
Unfortunately, most of us students use it in a way that shatters our creative potential. I was one of them too, until I noticed my declining capabilities.

Initial way of using ChatGPT and What it cost me
I discovered the chatbot through people on social media who were amazed by its abilities. So it became a new thrilling tool for me too. I figured out what stuff it could do for me — writing essays, solving MCQs, answering quiz questions in a simple way, and giving creative ideas.

The result was that whenever I sat down to do any of those things, the only thing my mind could think of was ChatGPT.

I made it code JavaScript for me and included it in my site without even bothering to understand the stuff I had no idea about.
I told myself that I was doing it to maximize my time efficiency because that’s what a good developer has.
