"Melissa, tell me why we are here again?". I can't help but speak out of boredom because truth be told, that's how I am feeling right now. I am full-on bored.

"Kiki, look at all these hotties...". I roll my eyes.

"Oh come on, Celina... Look at all the blondies, then the dark-haired ones, the ones with hazel hair. Then look, muscular, even more muscular, tall... Sexy...".

"What's the point of going to a masquerade without a mask?". Okay... I'll give her that one...

"Now, put on that mask and go and find one hell of a hunk!".

I roll my eyes before placing the mask onto my face. I begin to walk around the wide hall, looking for someone, at the same time hoping nobody will look at me weirdly.

Not too long passes before I find myself sitting on a bar stool by a big and oddly empty bar. Listening to music in the background.

The bartender gives me the drink I ordered and I begin to gulp down on it. At first, I scrunch my face at the bitter taste of the drink before the pleasant aftertaste kicks in.

I turn around, watching all the couples dance as...
