We turned back to home as quick as possible. I could neither wear denim jacket again nor the spoilt blue suit. I picked a black shirt and ran down the stairs, to the car leaving my wardrobe half closed. I didn't remember anything I prepared to impress her or to take her out. All i left with is despair and suspense.
"If things go well this time, introduce us to her mate" Rakesh asked me in the car. They were so eager to know about the girl who fell me in love. "Let me introduce myself properly first" I sighed.
We reached at the party house. Rakesh and George joined their partners who were waiting for them at the entrance. Rahul and Vikram rushed into drinks section. All was same except their anxious eyes were on me worrying how I will carry the situation. But my eyes were searching for Varshini.
"Hey! Vimal!" Varshini gently patted my shoulder from back. Surprising me with her sweet voice and patting my shoulder from back was a beautiful gesture according to me. There are many good things about her! One thing should be highly appreciated - she didn't call me brother and she remembered my name! This brought a lot of juice in me.
"Hey! Varshini!" I shouted out of excitement. All things blurred out after seeing her except my friends laughing at me looking my excitement. That was embarrassing.
Varshini didn't laugh but she smiled and expressed her regret "I am so sorry. I couldn't talk with you properly last time."
"Yeah. You didn't finish the talk about a painting that didn't even exist" i said.
"What to do? You were stunned and I didn't know how bring up a conversation" she replied.
"Stunned? Whoa!" I exclaimed out of shy.
"Yeah! May be you stun while looking at beautiful people." she smiled with a dimple on her right cheek. It added more beauty to my diamond.
"Not by all the beautiful people just by the people who touch my heart" i said involuntarily looking into her eyes. Later i thought it would discomfort her. But she didn't express any discomfort. She didn't even blush. She just looked into my eyes more deep. Said you already that there are many good things about her. That was the longest time i had an eye contact with someone.
"Shall we go out for a drive? For the breeze." She asked so nicely still looking into my eyes. How could I say no, that was the first thing she asked me. We dont know why but we found ourselves nodding our heads for sometime. My friends looking at me decided not to call me a introvert again.
I took car keys from Rakesh and promised him that we would return before the party ends.
Just us. It was just us in car. She sat beside me. And it was literally the second day of our acquaintance.
"Where to?" i asked her. Don't except her to say "to the stars" as i am not jack and she is not rose.
"To Tejaswi pond" she said.
She enjoyed the breeze blowing her hair gently. Every second i was looking her, she appeared more pretty than the last second.
We reached the pond. We sat on the grass looking the clear sky and the bright stars. Sound of the crickets, gentle flow of water, rustling leaves and her breath brought a peaceful atmosphere. She said that the pond was named after her mother who fought the government from covering it for construction works. "And this pond prevented many floods" she added. It was her favourite spot and she feels she is with her late mother when she is here. The entire story hit me different after listening it. I didn't know how to react.
"It is me who is going to throw up next midnight party. You must come." She requested.
"I will be coming. That is what club members do." I said.
"You are specially invited." she said looking at me.
"You have a gang right? And they have unique name too. What are they called again?" she added.
