Scotland 2020.

After finally voting for independence after 300 years of Westminster rule, the Scottish Government declares that it wants to find the rightful heir to the throne of the country, which has long since been vacated.

Days later, Danielle, a beautiful young woman from Paisley, is spending the day in Edinburgh with friends. After receiving a phone call with some shocking news, she finds a shoulder to cry on with a mysterious stranger that appears in her life during her moment of need. As Danielle's life changes forever, and she tries to come to terms with news both good and bad, she just can't seem to shake the encounter with that stranger out of her mind.

Back in Edinburgh, a young man struggling to get to grips with his own problems, can't get the beautiful image of Danielle out of his head. Who was she, and where was she from? He'd only seen her in a fleeting moment, and she was well out of his league, but he just knew he had to see her again. But how?

As two young people struggle with the pressures of life, were the events that randomly brought them together fate, or just a welcome distraction? Will life ever be the same again for either of them? What steps will each of them have to take, and what will they have to sacrifice, to shape and fulfil their own individual destiny?
