Alex was on another of his exciting journeys, driving his car on a dark, rainy and windswept night in a foreign land. He was a video blogger and it was his dream for one of his travelling films to go viral on YouTube. Then Alex thought to himself, he would have made it.

He had his phone camera set up on the dashboard. He was regaling his viewers with his plans for his journey and the kind of people he would meet, as he live streamed. Little blue thumbs and red hearts popped up on the screen giving him the validation he was seeking.
