Chapter 31: The Proposal

Ryan was upset and angry. He wanted to protect Myra at any cost. He knew that Jack wouldn't let go of Myra. He was jealous and greedy, which just added fuel. He wouldn't leave Myra alone, and Myra would do anything for Emma. He knew that if he was unsuccessful and if there were any loopholes in his case, and somehow Emma was handed over to Margaret, Jack, and they got her custody, Myra would become a puppet in their hands. Jack would take advantage of her by any and every means and hurt and torture her out of jealousy. Ryan was feeling uneasy and sat in the car for a while. He gave Jack one last chance. He thought if he convinces Myra to sell Margaret's house and business to him, he could just give that back to them and come to an agreement. But Jack's behavior just got him more upset.He turned his car around and went back to Myra's place. He rang the bell and Cynthia answered, surprised to see Ryan, and asked him, 'Wow, you are back so soon! Missed her too much or forgot something?' Ryan smiled, blushed a little, and said, 'I missed her too much. I guess I left too early. I had to do something, but the work got cancelled, so I came back. I hope you don't mind.' Cynthia replied, 'Not at all, son. I meant it when I said this is your own house. Why don't you go give Myra some company in her room, and we will join you two lovebirds for some coffee.'
