Agnes breathed heavily. I grasped her delicate hands, “Let it out. I’m game for what I said. I won’t interrupt when you talk. I need answers.”

‘My husband Fernandez and Eva’s father Jones are blood brothers. Jones is a year younger to Fernandez. Their ancestors for generations have been wealthy folks. They own several estates and are well known landlords for three-fourth of the places in and around here. They lean into right judgment. Everyone fear, love and respect the family.

While Jones and Fernandez grew up to have a healthy brothership, Merida and I were best buddies from school. We all studied at the same university. The time I met Fernandez was the same time Merida met Jones. We became a solid group of four. I settled to a liking for Fernandez and Merida for Jones.
