She smiled with quiet determination,
The journey was tough but so was she...
She never imagined she would be standing in the spotlight. After all these years of dreaming this could happen. Here she was. Shaking with excitement, but also scared out of her mind. Would she make it though this night without making a fool of herself? She questioned herself as she picked up her keys. Wow, this is the moment I've waited for"all my life"! she thought.
Pulling up at the gates of the world's largest hotel. Two men were standing one ready to escort her to the door, and another to park her car. This was something a girl like herself had only seen on tv. She giggled inside as she thought, is this real? should I pinch myself to see?
As she arrived at the doors the escort whispered; Enjoy your evening ma'ma, you look stunning. Her face felt burning hot as she replied Thank you; with a smile.
Wow, I have never seen a room so beautiful, the ceiling was never ending. Gold trim on all the border. Paintings and poetry in gold frames on all the wall, she thought. She could feel herself become nervous and excited at the same time.
Following this signs to the event that would somehow change her life. Became even more scary for her. What if I stumble over my words, or worst, what if I freeze up and nothing comes out. God, please help me be strong tonight. You know I've prayed for this moment all my life. I know you're here with me. But I can't help to feel so nervous inside. In Jesus name I pray Amen. she prayed. And as she finished a sense of calmness raced throughout her. Thank you she whispered as she looked up.
The lights around her began to dim and, the stage lights become brighter.
In moments from now she would be standing on the stage reciting the poem that had gotten her here tonight. Which she had written at a very dark time in her life. The moment had come. oh me, she thought as she walked up on the stage.
The man with the microphone handed he a sheet of paper. The first few lines explained how things she be done. Reading her poem wasn't enough she would have to explain what she was feel at this moment. okay, she thought.
Alone & Haunted
She has lost her inspiration
Ambition, the well.
frozen inside, terrified of
her heart.
Anything she has ever loved,
has casually became invisible.
Wondering?
Yeah, sorry lots.
She was the prize in the cracker jack box!
You'll never know which one of her you'll receive.
Broken is her shame.
Searching, well she claims.
Burning hurts horribly bad.
Consuming daily.
Nobody should have this little girl.
She's in prison, you see.
There is no room for love in she.
She's haunted deep inside, daring to be revealed.
There is only one sinful, but real.
Miss-understood, alone, gypsy soul...
Flames yearn for just a moment.
piece this together angel with broken dreams.
Swords, chain, bricks.
please feather she.

Leaning on the edge of life.
No need for tears, she is the
eagle spirit " part man"
Bleeding endlessly.
dead-end roads.
Remember her heart has four empty rooms.
Two are for lightening, one is for you, and one is for everything once knew.

This poem was written in a time when her life had hit rock bottom. Year's of pain had came to the surface. From family relationships to love relationships. She felt alone for many years with no one to turn too. As you can see in some sense, she was begging God to step in and bring her back to the light. She had to learn forgiveness in others but worst, she had to find forgiveness in herself.
And that's when she stop. The room full of people remain silent for a few minutes. Her heart began to race with fear. oh no, she thought. but just as she was about to cry in fear her poem was hated by the world. whistling, and clapping grow loud and echoed throughout the large room full of thousands of people. Tear of joy steamed down her face as the man with the microphone handed her the award.
Nicely done he announced. Thank you she replied. She never thought expressing herself in notebooks for all those years would lead to suck an exciting event. Feeling proud of herself as she walked of that stage. Had to be the best feeling in the world. Nobody would ever know how this one little award would bring a smile on her face. As she would never forget the feelings of tonight and the long journey that brought her here.
As the parking attended handed her the keys. He said I can see from your running make-up and smile, you received what you came for. Then he went on to say, I hope to see your return. Yes, and thank you she replied.
I do to she said. As she drove away she couldn't help but think. This was one of the best nights of her life. And she couldn't wait to get home with her notebooks, and pen. And record this night.
