Writing Hacked 12: Antagonist
Disclaimer: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER!

I have no formal education in creative writing or literature whatsoever. I learned everything by myself through youtube, reading, research, understanding, and writing away as much as I can. I make a lot of mistakes whether it be grammatical or any other kind. I hope you can point them out and help me correct it so I can learn more. I will try my best to provide you errorless guidance though. I am not going to pretend to know everything because I really don't. I have a lot to discover yet.
Whatever I am going to tell you here is through my own understanding and experience.
Enjoy.

2) ANTAGONIST

The opponent of the protagonist is called an antagonist and it could be in any form.

This figure is strongly against the protagonist's goal.

In most stories, the identity of the villain remains hidden until the quest and is revealed around the climax. On the other hand, we know about the identity of the villain from the very beginning, sometimes even earlier than the protagonist.

Now, one thing I would like to add here, your antagonist needs not to be the only one keeping the protagonist from their goal but you can also have multiple side characters as well. The intensity or need of the main antagonist should be more to define them clearly as the main villain though....
