There once was a tailor who spun a collection of magical garments. He put them all in a big pile on his cart. But the garments were very unhappy. They did not like being in such a messy pile. They begged the tailor to organize them. The tailor felt sorry for the garments, so he folded them up and sorted them out.

On the first try, he arranged them according to color. Light garments on one side, colored garments on the other.

He found that there were more light garments than there were colored. So he assigned the light garments more space.

But this made the garments very unhappy.

The colored garments did not like having less space. “There’s less of us, that’s not our fault! We deserve to have equal space!”

The light garments, meanwhile, did not want to give up their space. “There’s more of us, that’s not our fault! We deserve to have more space!”
