Don't mess with an Angel
02 - Making A New Friend
My eyes were trained on the big clock ticking. Just five more minutes Tasha; five more minutes and I'll be out of this place. I couldn't help but regret my earlier actions, maybe If I had gone to another seat then I wouldn't be here.
The class was quiet apart from Chris stomping his feet on the floor, his eyes were also trained on the clock. I'm sure that by now he'd hate me so much for making him miss basketball practice.
Ding! The clock chimed, detention was officially over. I hung my back over my shoulder and headed out of the class not wanting to see what chris might do.
I hopped on my bike speeding to the convenience store where my shift was due, I was already late and Karen won't be pleased.
"I'm sorry I'm late karen, something happened in school". I pleaded as I reached the store.
"Don't ever let this happen again. Isn't that why I pay you? One more time and you're fired!" She yelled angrily and left. I nodded apologizing though I felt tears stinging my eyes.
I toughened up immediately as customers walked in purchasing items, I soon forgot about my troubles as I flashed them welcoming smiles into the store.
I saw a small boy fiddling with his phone as he struggled to hold both his huge candy and his phone, I walked over to help him.
"What's wrong, kiddo?" I asked him
.
"I'm trying to take a selfsnapelp all this candy, but I can't". He said sadly trying once more, I smiled at him and took his phone from his hand.
"Let me help". I offered, he brightened up immediately as he struck a playful pose.
"Thanks. I want to show my Bro I can go to the store on my own. Can I take a picture with you too? You're really beautiful". He said smiling.
"Of course". I said putting the camera in a selfie mode, when I ensured we were both smiling, I clicked the snap button and handed him his phone.
"Wow, you're so beautiful"....
