Today is an auspicious occasion on the Hindu calender. It marks the festival of Akshaya Tritiya, a day dedicated to wealth, abundance and prosperity.

Ideally, the day would be celebrated through certain rituals and the purchasing of gold. We are living in interesting times and due to the lockdown, gold is not readily available. I like to identify myself as more spiritual, as opposed to religious. Thus, I use these festivals to take in the beautiful energies available from the day. I also meditate and engage in chanting.
