Blaming
#WritcoStoryPrompt118
Why do we often look for someone to blame when there is a problem? Tell us in story writing what you think about it.

It's hard to accept the hard truth of admitting to our wrongs for fear of what others may think. Instead of being straight forward and saying "My bad, I was in the wrong", we'd rather blame someone else. I believe life is too short to be placing blame on anyone else. Whether it be for something we said or did or just to make somebody else look bad. We all mess up from time to time. We aren't always right and nobody is perfect. I know I personally hate being wrong but I admit when I am although it isn't always easy. Why? Because the world today seems to be in constant competition with one another instead of encouraging towards one another. And we're all too concerned with what someone else is going to say for fear of judgement. Let's stop putting others down and strive towards helping each other accept ourselves for who we are. It would help us take accountability for our actions and keep us in good standing with ourselves. What the worlds lacking these days are good morals and values. When someone is wrong, then instead of criticising them or shutting them down make them take accountability by using positive words through constructive criticism. This all starts with ourselves individually. We need to think about the legacy we leave behind for our loved ones rather than focusing on the judgement being placed upon us. Those judgements are only others opinions and not facts. We can all be a part of changing the world so let's start by taking accountability for our actions and admitting when we're wrong. It has to start somewhere. I believe if we accepted people more openly instead of judging them then they'd be more apt to accepting their wrongs.
