in the development of the first stage, you will start in a mine, when progressing further on you will notice tunnels with torches remaining lit and some tunnels being obstructed with mounds of dirt and rocks, some would brush it off as a shortcut to skip half of the level but if you make your way to the entrance of the tunnel and stand still for 15 seconds, you can sometimes get nothing from them but not all tunnels have the same result other tunnels have creepy results, for example, a faint voice is heard or the sound of someone dragging their nails across a piece of wood

even some tunnels allow you to go in, sometimes you will encounter nothing in these tunnels, but if the player collects 99 gold paws having zero damage the tunnel that has been blocked off will be accessible, once you enter you will be presented to a small book caked in the dirt, as you pick it up the little sound of whispers and giggles start playing, you want to quickly book it out of there in fear of getting approached or attacked, a dirty book with the name Lexi engraved in the fabric is what will be described if you click it, there is no explanation to this discovery, Lexi went missing after the assault of rubark fur by vam the bitter bear making many drop their pickaxes and leg it, the tunnels were starting to get unstable, Lexi, unfortunately, didn't make it out in time, later in development, the story was scrapped and updated,
