Charlie and David were living the good life. Now retired, they spent their time traveling the world. They used David's old suitcase which is what Charlie tripped over years ago when they first met. Considering it fate, they both agreed to keep using the suitcase as a symbol of their love.

Charlie and David went shopping and bought all new clothes to wear on their next adventure. They eagerly poured over brochures from Greece which is where they were going on their next trip. Yes, life was good.

Just days before their scheduled departure, Charlie suffered a fatal heart attack. David was inconsolable. What was he going to do now after losing his husband? Friends and well wishers sent their condolences but the messages added salt to wounds his heart was already suffering.

It was weeks after the funeral before David could bring himself to go into their bedroom to gather together Charlie's possessions.

As he sorted through all the pieces and parts of Charlie's life, David opened the wardrobe where he saw their old suitcase. As he sat there crying, he finally realized that all he had left was an empty suitcase full of memories and a wardrobe full of clothes that still had their tags on.
