Write a short story from your past that involves light or darkness in some way.

It was a dreary night I was stuck in the middle of the forest. In all four sides, I could only see the darkness trying to swallow me whole. I ran from here to there and from there to here but couldn't find a way out. I was screaming for help. I closed my eyes as I was very much scared. Suddenly it started raining heavily but only my face got wet. And I could feel someone held my hand and pulled me out of something. All they were asking me to open my eyes and when I opened there was no jungle but I saw my brother holding my hand and in his other hand there was a mug of water. I cracked up at my nightmare but was at ease thinking it wasn't true
