I was an always an introvert, so I didn't had much of friends I still remember the first time I met him, we were just 7 I was sitting at a corner away from everyone else. It was his first day at school, he looked around to find a place to sit but everyone had their benchmates except for me. So he started heading towards me. I didn't wanted him to sit beside me so I started praying “(oh god please divert him somewhere else”) he stopped right before me & asked if he can sit there(he was a gentle man since childhood) I was too shy to say no, so I noded head in a yes. He sat beside me. I wasn't bold enough to initiate s conversation so a few moments went away in silence, after a few moments he asked my name & that's how we begin to talk, within a few days I got comfortable, I was no longer feeling shy to talk to him, and he turned out my best friend
As I grew up, I was still an introvert but I managed to make a few friends but none of them were like him. He was such a nice loving caring and respectful we knew everything about each other, we never had any secrets we did everything together, we were the crime partners.
When we reached high school, there was some kinda feeling for him, I had a soft corner for him, I was in love with him. I didn't told him about this for long time ( this was the only thing I didn't told him)
But one day during last year of our High school I decided to tell him whatever is in my mind. It was friendship day so after the lectures were over he came to me & tied a friendship band, I could have confessed my feelings than & there itself but I didn't had enough courage to do so. So I decided to tell him everything over phone, I came home, had my meal, watched tv, scrolled through feed ( I was trying to avoid calling him & telling everything)
After sometime I convinced myself to have the call I picked the phone dailed his number ( I was praying that he should not pick up phone because I wasn't ready to say it) I was really scared about what if he says he doesn't loves me like I do, it would also end up our friendship forever. And he was more of my friend than a lover to me.
He picked up the call & said hello I rattled for a second & said hello, for some time l kept changing the topic. I took a deep breath and said
Me - Listen I need to tell you something
He - yep, say
Me - Promise me it won't effect our friendship, we will always stay friends.
He - yeah I promise nothing will break our friendship
Me - I love you
He - (sighs) you are so beautiful, so good nobody could decline you but..
I immediately cut the call, there was no hidden in that but & I couldn't hear it.
He called me again I couldn't decline the call so I picked it up. I said hello in a sad tone.
He - I.. haven't told you something
Me - What is it? ( I thought he was going to say he loved someone else)
He - I didn't told you this because I thought it would break our friendship, and I don't wanna lose a precious friend like you
Me - what is it tell me? I promise it won't it break our friendship
He - I.. I'm am gay
Me - What??! ( I was taken aback for while)
He - yeah, this is the only thing I kept secret because I feared I would lose you, I still fear that you would be no longer friend with me after knowing that I'm gay but I had to say it.
Me - Who told you I would break friendship?
He - umm.. I thou..
Me - whatever you do, whatever you are, you will always be my best friend I accept you as you are. you are my bestest friend ever
He - Really?? You are my true bff dear. Nothing can breaks us apart.
Me - Never ever because we are best friends forever.
