A letter to my dear...

Dear Grandma,
You were my gossip partner, my friend and most caring person in the family. I'm writing this letter because today I saw an old lady sitting on a bus stop with her grandchildren. I helped her to cross the road and offered some snacks to the children. The smile on that old lady's face, reminded me of your beautiful smile. It's been 20 years, you are not with us but, the time we had together are the beautiful memories of my life. I miss you so much Maa.
I can't forget that sweet moment, when I came from school and you noticed tears in my eyes. I told you, my teacher scolded me and your reply, "Why didn't you scold her back?" 😄 You hugged me, made me smile by your super jokes on teacher. I miss all those jokes and our laughter club. Now, my life has become a teacher and I need you to scold my life back.
You were the strength of our family and the most active person too. At the time of festivals, you were most excited to make sweets and give gifts to all. Now, Diwali is coming and I'm missing you so much. Nobody can make sweet dishes like you used to. Your recipes nobody knows.
Whenever I miss you, I hear your favourite song on the radio, which you used to keep away from us. And now it's near me. Don't worry Maa, it's safe and in good condition.
Maa, you remember that day, with my broken tooth I was running in the house and you caught me and said, " Keep it safe in your pocket and at night 'Pari' will come and replace your broken tooth with a gift." I didn't get any gifts but now, I use this dialogue for my children. I can't forget those days of innocence and full of laughter and love.
I never told you, but I loved all your sarees and the way you draped it with a safety pin in the proper place. I'm also a saree lover and you know, Mom says I look like you whenever I drape a saree. This compliment is very precious to me.
Maa, I know you are watching us from Heaven and showering your love and blessings. But, I miss you at every moment.
I wish I could be with you in your last days and make you smile like you used to. Maa, I Love You. You are my inspiration and I'm proud to be your grand daughter.

Yours,
Sweety
