“She's weird”

“What do you mean?”

“She was staring at me the whole time”

“Noah, it's not her fault she can't see properly. She probably wanted to recognize you for a later time”.

“Whatever, it seems like you pity her or something. She could just get an appointment with an ophthalmologist and stop with the pity party”.

“That's so rude, Noah”

“She just seems pathetic”

“You're pathetic, you hardly know her. I can't believe you at times” Ezra said, shaking his head.

“I can't believe myself at times, Ezra. I'm turning into a monster”.

“I can help you only if you let me”

“No, no one can help me”

“You know she made me promise”

I clenched my fist, how dare he?

“Don't you ever mention her again” I said, storming off

“Where are you going?..... Noah, I thought we agreed to go home together”

“ I have no home, I'm going back to the hotel. You should be glad I still consider you my brother.”

“Your car is ahead, you're going the wrong way. I thought you lodged out of the hotel.” He called after me.

“Oops, I lied. Deal with it” I said, increasing my pace before he decided to catch up with me. Memories of that day flooded in, that silent “I love you” the monitor went flat, and I went flat with it too.
