Let Hedonism Ring!
Fear the other, anyone different. That's what they tell us to do while chaos erupts outside.
Just hide in your shell as a hermit but don’t permit anyone to disagree with what they say is so. Adhere to the new status quo and defend it by any means necessary, even if it violates your ethical code.
Would you honestly say you know what's wrong and what's right?
That's okay, you don't have to!
Why bother yourself with never-ending philosophical debates on moral values within a society when someone will do it for you?
Life is supposed to be enjoyed, right?
Life should be about the pursuit of happiness and pleasure; not about pain and suffering. So let’s live for the beauty in that which brings us a sense of pleasure and denounces anything painful to ourselves and others.
We need not suffer any more.
We shall adhere to our hedonistic ways, for that is all we really want anyway, right?
To love, f***, and be happy!

But…

We can’t love because loving another can cause pain. Pain brings about anger and sadness, and we can’t have those.
But if we take away sadness, we wouldn’t know what happiness is either.
So that’s out too.

Well instead of love, we will live our lives the way we want! We will live and f*** and grow into who we want to be in life.

Well, no, not quite. If we take away pain and conflict, we won’t learn anything and therefore won’t grow.
If life is growing or adapting to changes, then if all we felt was pleasure, we wouldn’t be living at all; rather merely exist.

We will just f*** each other for the physical pleasure it brings without having any emotions tied to it.
Let’s f*** ourselves out of the life we had been given until we realize how much we miss our pain. How much we miss fighting. Until we can no longer take being stagnant and living only for physical pleasure.

But of course, by then, we wouldn’t even know what it’s like to miss, to remember, to long for, to wish for something better.
