"you mean to say, he said these things to you..over the phone? exactly these words..! I just don't understand", Anu was literally shouting and people sitting in the nearby tables looked interested. She lowered her voice," Sasha..I cannot believe this nonsense".
Sasha stated at her silently..even she could not understand it..then how could she?
" Did u talk about this to Priya?", that is Anu..always practical and coming to the point.
" planning to do in one of these days.."
Sasha evaded the question..well..does it matter any more?
" oh..sasha..shall I talk to him?"
" no need..I will talk to Priya..the thing is I really can't make anything out of this..Is anything wrong with him? This is not the man I knew..this is someone who is a stranger.."
"hmm..as far as I can say..you seem to be the stranger in his world",Anu looked at her with pity in her eyes.
" sasha..this is the way most men behave..but I had high regards for him..even I am disappointed".
" Anu...is it really....over?"
Anu remained silent for a long time. Both sipped their tea and looked far away, lost in their thoughts. cracks in a relationship start long way back..there must have been red flags all along which she must have ignored out of her love for him..we cheat ourselves..we are very good at these things..to have built a relationship..just by talking over the phone..how idiotic and childish...!
" Anu..I will talk to Priya and call you back..will try my best..but...the beauty is lost..I don't think I can get that back again",there were tears gleaming in her eyes and Anu hugged her tightly.
