Chapter 10 continued:
Kai waits patiently outside the bathroom door, listening to the sounds coming from inside. Something is wrong, he can sense. He never seen you like you just were when you came home. It worries him.

This must be connected to those nightmares she's having. And that voice she spoke about hearing when she first used Dranzer. I know it's connected. But how? As he sits there pondering of these events he hears a thud from inside the bathroom. Immediately on edge he gets up and listen more closely.

Cornelia. He calls out to you. When you don't answer he gets worried.

Did she faint? He scratch on the door and call for you again. No answer. He knows she can hear him, so why isn't she answering. Just then Tala walks down the hallways and spot him.

"She's just taking a shower. Do you really want to join her then too?" he asks, pretending the cat can understand him.

No. something is wrong idiot. She's not answering. As Kai hisses and growl at him and scratch on the door, Tala seems to take the hint. A glimpse of worry passes over his face before the cold expression returns. Still, he walks over to the door and knock.

"Cornelia. Is everything okey? Cornelia?" you don't answer.

"Cornelia answer or I'm coming in. Cornelia." He tries the door it's locked.

"Cornelia!"

CHAPTER 11:World Championship

"Cornelia! Cornelia answer! Corneila!" you wake to the sound of Tala yelling your name and hammering on the bathroom door. It takes you a moment to realize you've fainted in the shower. Your head hurts and you can feel a small bump forming.

"Cornelia! I'm coming in." upon hearing Tala say this you're suddenly wide awake.

"NO! No Tala I'm okey really. Sorry I just blacked out for a moment." You shout back, slowly getting on your feet.

"What do you mean blacked out. Open the door." The red head demands. You turn of the still steaming shower and wrap a towel around yourself. Then you walk over to the door and unlock it. Almost imidiately it's ripped open and outside stands Tala with a serious expression on his face. Kitten Kai is by your side in an instant.

"What happened?" He demands to know, you give a light smile and pick him up.

"I'm sorry to have worried you, but I just blacked out for a moment. Probably because the water was too hot." You explain. Both the kitten and the other male stare at you, almost examining you.

"Don't lock the door from now on. In case it happens again. You can get seriously hurt." Tala grumbles before walking back to his room and closing the door. You simply blink after him.

You quickly get dressed and return to your room with Kai. You drop down on the bed and gently rub your head.

"You hit your head huh. You okey?" Kai asks as he jumps up on the bed and sits beside you.

"I'm okey. I guess I just pushed myself a bit too hard." You say and give him a small smile. He looks at you for a moment before letting out a small sigh.

"How long do you plan on lying?" he asks. You look surprised at him.

"Everyone already knows of the nightmares. And quite frankly I'm starting to think it's something more than just dreams." He glares at you.

So they already know. You look at him for a moment before you give in and tell him all that's happened. Once you're done, none of you say anything for a while.

"This is connected to the championship somehow." Kai finally says.

"What do you mean? How can that be connected." You ask sitting up on the bed.

"Not sure. But the closer we get to the championship the more intense these visions get." He states. Both turn silent again.

"Should I tell the boys?" you finally ask.

"No, not until we understand what this is." He says looking thoughtful. You nod.

"What do you think it is? Something symbolic?" you ponder out loud.

"No I think it's very concrete actually. By what you explained it might be a bitbeast."

"A bitbeast? But aside from that shaped figure in my last dream I haven't really seen anything. Just felt it." You reply.

"Yes, but that's often how it begins." Kai explain, thoughtful now.

Is there something he isn't telling me? You wonder looking at him.

"For now you should get some rest, there's only a few more days until the championship, so you should prepare yourself. I think these visions might get more intense once it does." He states and look at you. Simply nodding in reply you lay down and close your eyes. It's first now that you feel how exhausted you really are after today's happenings. It doesn't take long before you're deep asleep. With Kai carefully watching over you.

Tala closes the bedroom door behind him and let out a sigh of relief.

I got really scared there for a moment. When she didn't answer I expected the worst. He thinks as he walks over to his bed and sit down. Why he care so much about you he don't quite know. It's not like he bothered much with girls before. Thinking about it he realize you're the first girl he ever really spent time with.

She is pretty and I am a guy so that's probably why. He concludes to himself. Dismissing it as mere physical attraction. That's most reasonable after all.

A few days pas and it's time for the team to go to the world championship. As you board the plane you end up sitting beside Tala again. Like last time, Kia is hiding in your bag. Tala have been acting a bit strangely lately. Like purposely ignoring your presence or pretending not to hear you talk. Of course you have noticed since he isn't very good at hiding it. Bryan and Spencer noticed too, but they just grin at it. Kai on the other hand seems more and more irritated by it. This time was no different. Sitting down he pretends like noting, even if it's clearly something bothering him.

"Em, Tala. What's wrong? You're being strange." You ask looking at him thoughtfully. The red head in return, tenses up, before letting out a sigh in surrender.

"I don't know. You make me nervous. Probably because I think you'll suddenly black out again, like a few days ago." He states looking slightly flushed.

"Oh. You don't need to worry about it, I'm fine now really." You explain. A small smile grace his lips, and suddenly the tension is gone and you can talk normally again. You start talking about the championship, and for the first time in a while, you feel relaxed.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to this year's Beyblade World Championship Tournament!" Dj Jazman announces into the mice, the fans scream and cheers as he continues.

"Without further ado, let's meet this year's finalists. First out is the White Tigers, The AllStars are here. And BEGA, The Majestetics, Blitzkrieg Zero, Bladebreakers, BeyBatalion and finally a completely new and unknown team, the ShadowKings!" you feel a bit nervous standing in the stadium as Dj announces the teams, but as he introduces the last team your mood change. The team consist of four boys. One of them really catches your attention, because he's staring right at you. He's tall and muscular, with shoulder length black hair, the top part is in a ponytail with the rest hangs loosely down his neck. His eyes are a cold blue, almost grey colour. His skin is a pale contraste to the dark jeans and red shirt he's wearing. On his feet is a pair of big boots. Around his waist is a belt where his shooter and Beyblade is hanging. His face is expressionless as he looks at you. Feeling uneasy you shift slightly, then your vision flickers before everything is suddenly dark.

Everything feels cold. You shiver, but not of the cold. You know what this is. One of your visions. Which means there's something evil lurking in the darkness. A sudden gust of wind blows in your hair. Did something just fly past you? Allowing your eyes to get used to the dark you try to see true the darkness. You know it's here. you can feel it. The hate and anger flowing true you, filling your senses. Your suspicion is confirmed when your eyes find the outline of a dark shadow located in front of you. What kind of creature is this. Remembering Kai's words, you no longer doubt that this is a bitbeast. What else can have this power. As you continue looking at the figure in front of you, it shifts, and you think you see a glimpse of feathers. Then your eyes meet the once belonging to the beast. They shine bright red like rubies. These eyes, they resemble hatred and evil. You can practically feel them burn into your mind. Threatening and challenging you.

"You can not save her." A cold voice sounds giving you chills.

"She is my vessel now." It continues. It's vessel? What does that mean?

"Soon so will you." The voice continues. The creature shifts again and starts coming towards you. Backing away you feel fear. You're afraid of this beast. It's so cold. So evil. So intense. Just as the figure is about to reach you…

"Cornelia."

"Huh?" you're back in the arena. The fans are cheering and screaming. The first matchup is already announced.

"Come on. We're not first so let's go back to the room." Tala states. The other two, already on the way, stops and look curiously back at you. Blinking you look over at the ShadowKings team. The guy is still staring at you. As you once again meet his gaze a small grin spreads across his lips. This grin is not like the once Tala, Bryan and Spencer gives you. This one is cruel. Shending a chill down your spine as he turns around and follow his team.

He's connected to that creature I know it. But why do I suddenly feel like I've meet that creature before? Not in my visions, but a long time ago. As you wonder of these new discoveries you follow the boys back to your room to watch the match on the TV screen there. But your mind isn't following the match at all. Kai was right, no doubt about it. The creature is a bitbeast. A bitbeast you know, but who? What creature that evil could you possibly know? And what does it want?CHAPTER 12:The Dark Creature

You're sitting in the locker room watching the match on the big TV on the wall. Truth is, you're not really paying attention. You're thinking of what just happened.

She's my vessel now.
Soon so will you…

What did that creature mean. Is it actually another bitbeast under all that darkness? That would make sense with the other visions you've had, the once telling you to save her. Then there's that guy from the Shadowkings. How is he connected to this? He must be the blader wielding the dark creature's Beyblade. Allot of things starts to make sence when you think this the dreams, or visions which seems more correct, the guy's grin…

Then another thought arises. The dark creature seems very familiar. Pondering where you could have seen or met such a creature, you don't notice Kai staring at you from under the table.. he too has noticed the guy staring at you, even if he's been hiding in the locker room. You have to be careful from now on, who knows what they are after.

As the tournament continues it becomes clear that all the teams have been training hard for the past year. But it's the Shadowkings that surprise. In their first match against the Maiestetics they seem like a normal team, they even lose.

"They're holding back." Tala says the moment the match is over.

"Yeh. But why would they lose on purpose?" Bryan questions.

"It's obviously something they want. So they're hiding their true strength until the right moment." Spencer adds. You bite your lip, wondering if the time is right to tell them about your visions. Under the table Kai puts a paw on your foot. Jumping a bit in surprise you look down.

"Not yet. There's something I wish to confirm first." The kitten says.

"Wait until your match with them is over." He continues. You nod agreeing with him.

"That kitten gets more and more strange. I swear he acts like he knows what we're talking about." Bryan says with a grin. You can't help but smile.

If they only knew.

"He's a smart kitten you know, so maybe he does understand." You say smiling secretively at them, which earns you three big grins in return. Just then your match against WhiteTigers is announced over the speakers and you make ready to go.

"Cornelia. The team has been talking and we've figured you're good enough to play in official matches. Besides if Kai sees you using Dranzer in the tournament he might bother showing up." Tala says looking at you. Blinking you can't believe they will rely on you in official matches. But' there's another thing that surprises you more. Kai. He still hasn't changed back, which you completely forgotten about with everything else going on. You look worried at the kitten by your feet.

"Relax. Just go out there and battle, if I watch this match I'll probably change back, so go." He says calmly, you give a small nod. But the feeling that it won't work still lingers as you walk out to the stadium with the rest of the team.

The first round of your match goes by smoothly. Tala beats Lee with ease. As he walks back to the bench he grins at you.

"Your turn. Don't worry, if you lose I'll take the match for us." He says with confidence sending you off to battle Rei. As you walk up to the dish the nerves finally catches up to you. After all, you're about to fight Rei Kon, former Bladebreaker and the captain of WitheTiger X. Rei in return looks at you with curiosity.

"So you're their new member. I must admit I never expected it to be a girl. But I guess that means they're moving forwards. I heard your Kai's substitute until he can return, what happened to him?" he asks in a friendly, but careful tone.

"He's away on business. Shall we start?" you reply, not wanting to dwell with his question. He simply nods and you both make ready to launch. The match goes quite well, until it get's to the point where Rei summons his Drigger. You've been worried about this. Sure the BlitzkriegBoys understand your deal with Kai, or they just don't care. But will the rest of the world championship bladers and fans understand it? Taking a deep breath you decide you'll find out, so with a power burst you summon Dranzer. The look on Rei's face when he sees his friend's bitbeast in your control shows complete surprise and disbelieve, and something else, you can't be sure, but you think it's anger.

"So he gave you Dranzer did he? Or did you take it?" he asks. The friendly tone is gone, and replace by a cold and warning one. You had a feeling this would happen. So instead of answering you continue your battle. Somehow you manage to win, but only just, and you're left panting and exhausted. Rei picks up his knocked out blade and looks at you, once again curious.

"You fight allot like Kai…" he says trailing off. In return you simply stare at him as you feel the last of your energy leaving you and your knees giving in. as you faint, you see Rei running towards you and hear your team call out to you. The last you hear is Tala's voice as you feel a pair of strong arms catch you.

"I got you. Donn't worry, I got you." He says as everything turns black.

"Extraordinary. Doctor are you seeing this?"
"Yes. Could it be that one of the bitbeast he stole wasn't returned?"
"I don't think so. This bitbeast, it's energy is completely new to the system. It's never been registered in matces either. At least not monitored by the BBA."
"Are you saying it's a new bitbeast merged with the subject?"
"Yes Doctor, it looks that way."
"Let me see the readings."
"Impossible! Could we have gone about this the wrong way?"
"What do you mean Doctor"
"According to these readings the subject isn't physical, it's abstract. Which implies that the bitbeast the sensors are noticing is the real bitbeast possessed by whatever te subject is."
"But Doctor how can that even be possible."
"It must be the darkness refered to in that legend."
"It's a legend Doctor it can't be…"
"Can't it? Why not? Have what happened in Russia not thought you that bitbeast is part of legends, we need to look at all possibilities."
"I understand that Doctor. But to say the subject is the ultimate evil substance that wish to take over the world and put out all light… it's a bit extreme, don't you think?"
"Perhaps, but… wait a thought just came to me. Match the subjects data to that of Brooklyn during his match with Tyson a while back."
"Doctor?"
"Do as I say."
"Yes sir."
"No it can't be! If this is correct then this might be a lot more dangerous than we originally expected."
"Doctor we need to report to the board about this."
"Yes, but first we must restrain it. If it escapes or is let lose it will cause great destruction."

You blink, not remembering where you are or what happened. You're staring up at a grey ceiling with bright white lights. Blinking again it slowly dims on you where you are.

"You're awake. How do you feel?" turning your head to the side you find Tala staring at you.

"I'm okey. What happened?" you ask as you slowly get up.

"You fainted after your match with Rei. The doctor said you simply used up all your energy and needed a nap." You nod in reply, now remembering what happened.

"I had a really weird dream." You say, more to yourself than anyone else, but Tala looks curious at you.

"Meaning?"

"I don't know. Maybe all this blading is finally getting to me, even dreaming about it." The red head smirks at you. Bryan and Spencer returns and after confirming for all three that you're fine and can continue blading they leave you to yourself as they go to get drinks and tell the championship administration that you will stay in the competition. You give a light sigh and stretch, a bit stif after sleeping on the bench.

"Another dream about the beast?" a calm male voice questions.

"Kai, I didn't see you." You say with a smile at the bluish grey kitten besides you.

"No it wasn't about the beast. At least I don't think so. It was about some researchers working for the BBA. They talked about bitbeast, a presence, Russia and Brooklyn's match with Tyson. Oh and something about someone stealing bitbeast and returning them." You explain looking at him. Kai suddenly seems tense, and his calm expression is replaced with a worried one.

"Russia and stealing bitbeast." He repeats with big eyes.

"Yes. Does that mean anything to you?" you ask curious to his reaction.

"Yes, but it can't be that. We were told it got locked away for good." He says, but it seems he's talking more to himself than you.

"What Kai. What was locked away?" He looks at you, his purple orbs serious and hard. He seems more like the Kai from TV, back during the Russian championship games.

"A dark bitbeast we defeated years ago." He says, and by the tone of his voice you can tell that's the only thing he will say about it. But if you're not to mistaken you already know what he's talking about. You did watch it on TV when it happened. When the original Bladebreakers defeated the dark bey Black Dranzer. After it had partly controlled Kai. What you didn't understand was what that dark bitbeast had to do with Brooklyn and Tyson's match, or how it was connected to your other visions. As you think about this you look at Kai. Then you suddenly gasp making the Kitten look shocked and worried at you.

"What? Another vision?" he asks.

"No. But Kai, you're still a kitten. And the tournament is well on it's way now." You say, looking a bit sad at the tiny blueish grey kitten. So much has happened the past few days that you compleately forgotten why you were there in the first place, to get Kai back to normal. Purple orbs look at you for a long moment, before he closes them.

"I know." He grunts, obviously annoyed by the fact.

"But didn't you say you would change back once we got to the tournament." You question gently. He sighs, which in his kitten state sounds more like a snort.

"I guess it's not what that woman means I need." He growls.

"Then what can it be?" you ask thoughtfully now, trying to figure out the answer to your own question. Both of you turn silent as you try thinking of something. Just then the three boys return, Tala handing you a drink.
