Morning is here but not with its joy. The memories of yesterday was just enough to steal it and has banished love from the heart that felt it. The remedy can't be divorce, cos no one is ready to live in the misery alone. At first I thought it was a joke or myth. For I have witnessed scenes worse than that. But before I use up my ink, this was how it began
Uncle Joe,as we all call him. Tall and handsome man, weathiest of all my uncles. I have been staying with him since I was a lad. I was there even before his pretty wife Amaka made us three. This marriage anticipated to be the best ever has been shattered as both are always at war.. Yet the war isn't over. Loads of this experience has made me choose happiness over wealth and certificates. I Hope I made the right choice. Two years it is now since this marriage or rather war started.
Amaka is every man's desire for a wife.. Tall, elegant, educated ,young glowing lady.From the couples pictures you can't quench the desire to be married because they always look gorgeous in it. Reality is a different case.. Domestic violence has stolen the beauty and love.
This was how it happened that evening... The fight started again after several exchange of rude words. Preamble, I wouldn't talk about. Uncle Joe in his usual fierce looking beast nature.Aunty Amaka seemingly pitiful but dangerous with every object within her reach. The hall mark was the MISSKICK.. it got Uncle Joe scream and wail in pain. Blood oozed out from his pelvic region.. Her beautiful, golden, pointed shoe did the harm. Several kicks came on even as he wailed.. She only stopped when she felt at ease,just to realize the damage done. I noticed the weakness in her.. I couldn't control the tears rolling down from my eyes.. Ikenna, Ikenna... Was my name sounding with terror from her voice.. Call the driver, no the gateman,the hospital as she cried in confusion..
As at then Uncle Joe was lying helplessly and comatosed. He couldn't even cry again. The pain had overwhelmed his strength.
The Doctors report this morning was devastating... Testis damaged as infertility awaits it's pronouncement...The tip of her shoe as sharp as the beak of the eagle has erased their happiness.. I wonder what the future holds for this beautiful young family..
It was indeed a MISKICK...
