Nature's Ultimate Goal
Everything around us is a result of millions and millions of years of evolution. But why evolution? Evolution is a process by which nature tries to improve or modify species in accordance with their environment.
Nature always prefers the best, which is what scientists call natural selection. Nature prefers those species which have more capabilities to survive in this competitive world and often tries to eliminate the less active one.
Every organism has to face a very complex competition to survive in this world. Even in the case of humans when Homo sapiens and Neanderthalensis began to fight, even though the Neaderthals were much stronger, due to our strength of working as a community Homo sapiens won and nature eventually adopted us and eliminated them.
Nature's choice of the species can vary due to human activities too. One major example for this is industrial melanism. Before the arrival of several industries, trees were covered by lichen which gave them a whitish color, so white arthropods can easily camouflage and escape from the predators. Whereas, dark coloured arthropods were easily caught and eaten which resulted in their decreased number. After the arrival ...
