They said ghosts are a breath of the past present in the future but we need not fluster ourselves for life is too fast to notice such slight oddities. They say ghosts are content in the fog for they are creatures of solitude who do not yearn for company. They lurk in the shadows, more clear than water, lighter than feathers and they desire nothing more than peace.

But I'm here, I'm here, and shadows give me nothing but fear. I am not as light as feathers or as clear as water but somehow overlooked in every way. I desire solitude only occasionally, I prefer it when people stay, but loneliness seems to be my company. I want everything phantoms don't, but receive everything they desire.

I am friends with the shadows for they treat me kindly, I am friends with solitude for it looks after me fondly.
