In the foot prints of BUDDHA Chapter6
Chapter-6 Karma

This word is often misguided or mistaken in many different ways. I would like to elaborate it in my own opinion or something that I have learnt with the teachings and preachings of life. Karma has nothing to do with "fate". If you do something negative, it doesn't mean that something negative has to happen to you to "even it out". Karma is based on your actions and thoughts in every single moment. "The word "karma" means "action," not "fate.

In Buddhism, karma is an energy created by willful action, through thoughts, words and deeds. We are all creating karma every minute, and the karma we create affects us every minute. We are the holders of our own karma and we ourselves are the key tool to it. It's common to think of "my karma" as something you did in your last life that seals your fate in this life, but this is not Buddhist understanding. Karma is an action, not a result. The future is not set in stone. You can change the course of your life right now by changing your intentional acts that may ruin your present and future and self-destructive patterns of the phases that you're going through."

With karma, like causes produce like effects; that is, a good deed will lead to a future beneficial effect, while a bad deed will lead to a future harmful effect. It's all about our own choices and the chances we take or ignore. Karma is concerned not only with the relationship between actions and consequences, but also the moral reasons or intentions behind actions. Karma is simply energy. It's our intentional thoughts and actions. The energy we generate now and in the future will affect us. It has nothing to do with reward or punishment. Karma is unbiased and it's ours to control.

I could tell everyone and simply suggest all the time, to use karma as a force for our own personal and spiritual development, a force for great good, you need only shine the light of mindfulness on your life to identify your karmic energy and work to heal any karmic energy holding you back. Without mindfulness, we're simply reactive to conditioned thought patterns.

Deepen your thoughts, deepen your understanding, enlighten your mind and soul. Understand the value of peace living. Consider happiness as treasure and biggest possessions of your life. Take control over your intentional acts and intense behaviour. No matter what's around you, learn the ability to see good within everyone and from everything you encounter. Focus on the facts of your state of mind but take time to act things in life. There's nothing wrong in making better choices but try to be validated by the truth and dharma in the end.

So the karma is the actions done intentionally deliberately by our own self which has it's own consequences. It is not a judgement but it always depends on the nature of the person who done it. Practising ethics has good consequences and leads to a happier, more integrated sense of self. The law of karma as a clear psychological teaching is central to their conception of the Dharma.
