Where Destinies Unite : Episode 3
I silently walked into the main gate, and across the corridors. The college was ready for its next session. I could see some new faces, and many old ones. As I took strides towards my classroom, I heard a familiar voice. "Hey Vic! Wassup?" It was Adrian. I had missed him a lot during the holidays."Nice to see you buddy!" We hugged.

"So, any improvements?"
I wondered what he was talking about. Oh, yes! I was making a poem compilation about how life works. "Uhh nothing much I guess."
"You do look pretty confident" he stated.
I chuckled to myself. All the students found and took their seats, when Alisa entered. "How were your holidays, Vic?" she asked, walking past my desk. I looked at Adrian. "You don't necessarily have to reply to her, bro," he said.
Alisa was being a real headache, as much as I remember. She interrupted my projects, skipped her classes to see me, wrote poems about me that went viral in the school. I sighed.
"Anyway," Adrian continued, "I think we've got some new students here." It was beyond my personality to turn back and see who's new, so I stayed inact.
"C'mon man, you need to socialize!"
"I don't really think I do."
All of a sudden, the teacher entered, and the chaos ended.
"Take your seats, everyone" he began, "Welcome, hope your holidays passed well. Today's topic is-"
He was interrupted by a door knock. "May I come in, Sir?" I heard a feminine voice.
"You may not," he replied, "you are late, Cassandra Milton. As a punishment, you will stand outside for a while."
I knew that voice is hers. Apparently, that girl was one of the new students of the school.
All the students tried to see who was standing outside the class, but the angle wasn't suitable.
"Students, your attention here!" the teacher continued, writing an equation on the board, "How many of you are confident?"
Some students including me noted the equation down and began to solve, while most students stared at us in amazement. Before I could come to the answer, I lost focus. I noticed I had been using the wrong sign from a particular point. "Shit!"
"Mr. Victor, would you control your anger?"
"Yes why not, sir?"
Alisa gave me her look. I turned to face Drake, the most studious kid in class. He looked at me with a face that said, "I have no idea!" An oversmart fellow called Stallion got up from his seat to answer, "It's one hundered and 78, in negative."
"Nice try but wrong answer, sit down!"
"Sir, the answer is cube root of 3" a voice echoed in the classroom. We all looked at each other, trying to figure out who has been hiding his talent.
"Well done, come in Cassandra," the teacher responded with a surprise in his eyes. "Take your seat."
The first few and the last few columns of benches were occupied. For some unknown reason, nobody wanted to sit in the middle columns. She quietly climbed up and got to arguably the central bench in the room.
The teacher hunched and said, "Cassandra, you hadn't taken out a copy, had you?"
"No, sir. I'm sorry it took me long."
The class stared at her in silence, while I looked into my book to go through the tough examples.
After a while of chit-chat, the class caught its pace. "Open page 107, solve question no. 5" he ordered.
"0.27" I replied.
"Well, that was quick" he looked into his copy, "Correct answer, Victor."
"Vic is on fire!" someone whispered.
As I was starting to enjoy the class, the period ended. "Students can change their seats" it was announced.
A whole bunch of guys and girls got into the middle row around Cassandra. My last corner seat got empty, so I moved up, followed by Alisa and Adrian.
