My mother went to school, so, she's been gone for a while. I was left with my Aunt. It just wasn't my night I suppose.

Aunt -

"What are you going to do with your life Ash!?" She frowned a little.

Ashley -

I'm fifteen, but I had to start working to get out of this house, when I did, not that my mother knows, well, I got an apartment, that's where I stayed, until a creepy guy hit on me, and I had to quit my job. So here I was, back in my aunt's house. It wasn't much that I got for working, so my aunt paid for half of the apartment.

Aunt -

"You and your mother, such pain in the asses," I barked at her. "Your waisting your life away! Lia should have never slept with that damn man! She didn't listen to me!" I slammed the cupboard shut.

Ashley -

All I do is listen, I don't act, my mother says it's disrespectful to raise your voice at an elderly woman, although, she isn't old.

Aunt -

"Then your father left your mother! He didn't want anything to do with you! Left her with all the bills! You were nothing but a problem! Now she dumps me on you again!"

Ashley -

Disappointment was all over her face. Every time she looks at me, she sees nothing. My cousin came down the steps. Me and Ally don't get along. My mother buys me things, then she steals it, and when I want it back...

Aunt -

"Your under this roof, nothing belongs to you!"

Ashley -

Ally tugged my long red hair, making me yelp. Aunty watched.

Aunt -

"Not to mention your hair! You should get it cut! Nothing about you looks nice!"

Ashley -

My hands clenched on my arms a bit.

Ally -

"Also, your outfit," I smiled. "It's very ugly."

Ashley -

Nodding in agreement. "Yes..." They frowned at me.

Aunt -

"Well, take a seat, and I'll cut your hair first."

Ashley -

"No..." Slowly I walked away. Ally grabbed my hand really fast, and tossed me to the wall.

Ally -

"What a fiasco!"

Ashley -

My head boomed. My hands covered the back of my head.

Aunt -

"Now look, your making such a mess every where!"

Ashley -

Gathering my courage, I got up. Everything seemed dizzy.

Aunt -

"Here! Take the keys and go to the store! Buy some rags! Then you can clean up your mess!"

Ashley -

My hands were covered in blood. She tossed the keys and they smacked me in the forehead.

Ally -

"Also, pick me up some chocolate."

Ashley -

Hate can't describe how I feel right now. Slowly putting my shoes on, and my hoodie, I found my phone finally, sticky with gum, something that Ally also stole from me. I opened my phone, only to find my friends, talking shit about me. Flipping through my messages, I found my mother, and it was bad, Ally made me out to a be a slut, and send pictures to my mother, with me and my ex boyfriend, but we broke up because, he was sleeping with Ally. I stared at the pictures. The more I read, the more I wanted to break something.

Aunt -

"I don't hear the car running!"

Ashley -

Rushing really fast, I scrambled to get the key into the ignition. I'm such an air head. Driving the speed limit, I slowly came to a stop. Just as I went to go, this car zoomed and crashed right into the front of my Aunt's car! My head hurt even worse.

David -

"Damnit!" I growled. What a mess! I slammed my door, "hello!? Didn't you see the stop sign!?" The woman slowly staggered out of her car.

Ashley -

"I-I'm sorry," I studdered a bit.

David -

"Great! Now how are you going to pay me for this!?" She didn't move for a moment.

Ashley -

"...I looked both ways, there was nobody coming, you were speeding," I snapped back. Slowly I crossed my arms.

David -

"No! I wasn't speeding!"

Ashley -

His car was nice. He was in a tux, with a red tie. His hair was black, his stare was cold. Shivers ran down my spine.

David -

"Do you know who the hell I am!? You dumb little girl!" She shook her head. "If you don't pay for this, then I'm going to sue you."

Ashley -

He brought his phone up, and was already on his phone with his lawyer. I snatched his phone, "I am sorry," I find myself saying that a lot.

David -

I rolled my eyes at her. "How, are you going to pay for this?" She hugged onto her purse that was dangling on her side. Suddenly she pulled out a check, and handed it to me.

Ashley -

"This...is all I have," I had a quiet tone. He stared at me for a moment. Very fast, it was in his hand, and he stared at it.

David -

"Give you a deal, you come work for me as my maid, and I'll let you pay the rest with your money I give you."

Ashley -

"No," I was firm.

David -

"Your stubborn."

Ashley -

My thinking was going in circles, I could work for him, I could fix my Aunt's car, and his, but he looks rich, why don't he fix his own car?

David -

I like girls that are stubborn.

Ashley -

He handed me my check back, "wait!" I yelped.

David -

"Yes? Did you perhaps change your mind?" Her voice is strained. She nodded a little, her cheeks burning red with embarrassment. The light was just perfect, to see her hoodie drenched in blood.

Ashley -

"I'll...come work for you," I hated that, why did I let all of this get to me?

David -

"Now, be there tomorrow! nine sharp!" She awkwardly stared at me. "Did you get hurt?" Why am I so curious about a cheap little girl?

Ashley -

"...No..." I whispered. He looked at my car, and his. His car wasn't as tarnished.

David -

I let a long sigh out. "Let me give you a ride home."

Ashley -

I stared at him for a bit. Just as he grabbed my hand, he pulled my hood down.

David -

"You are hurt," I glared at her. "I'm going to stitch this up, it will hurt."

Ashley -

I frowned at him, I definitely wasn't happy. He pulled a black suit case from his trunk. He sat me down on the front of his car.

David -

"I may have came off rude," she snorted a bit.

Ashley -

"Really? I couldn't tell."

David -

"Shh!" I smacked her shoulder. She yelped a little. "Hold still! Did you get this from when I hit you?" She didn't answer. Her hair was beautiful. Small little curls dangling from the sides of her face. She was nervous, she kept tapping her fingers on her lap. "Got some where to be?"

Ashley -

I winced in pain. "The grocery store."

David -

"I'll take you."

Ashley -

"No..." He frowned at me. A ding went off on my phone. Looking through the messages, I found my mother's text message.

David -

"May I take you home afterwards?" She had her eyes glued to the screen of her phone.

Ashley -

My mom said she'd be home a few weeks ago, now she is going to stay a couple more weeks.

David -

While she was distacted, I pulled her shoulder of the sweatshirt down a bit. There were bruises coating her shoulder. It almost looked infected. She went to get away from me quickly, but ended up falling into me. Her eyes widened along with mine. Her eyes cast down on my torso, she didn't dare to look at me.

Ashley -

"I'm sorry."

David -

I had an urge, that I needed to protect her. "It's fine."

Ashley -

Something I haven't felt in a while, and that, is being safe.

David -

"My name is David," I smiled. She didn't smile, she nodded a little. That's right, she probably already knew me.

Ashley -

"Ash," I whispered back. He tipped my chin up, and had me look at him in the eyes.

David -

Damnit she's cute. Her hazel nut eyes stared back into mine. She shivered a little. "Come home with me."

Ashley -

"What?" He repeated what he said. He brought me back to his huge mansion!

David -

"It's the least I can do for crashing into you," in the morning, she's probably going to freak out, because whatever hit her, really got her good.

Ashley -

My hands held my head up a bit, "oh...you...have a lovely home."

David -

"Thank you," I whispered to her. I showed her to her room. She got changed into a night gown before coming back downstairs.

Ashley -

"I'm sorry I took long," his eyes grimaced me. "Please don't look at me like that," my cheeks blushed. He either likes it, or he doesn't.

David -

"Stunning," I smiled. She is adorable. "Now how did you get that wound on the back of your head?" Ash looked worried.

Ashley -

I didn't get the groceries, I didn't go back. A hand was placed on my shoulder, unexpectedly.

David -

"Ash," her breathing slowly increased, "oh shit! I'm sorry..." I removed my hand fast from her shoulder.

Ashley -

"I'm sorry," I went to turn around, but he grabbed my waist, and pulled me back to him.

David -

"You are frightened," I whispered in her ear. She nodded. "What are you afraid of?"

Ashley -

"People," He stared at me stone cold, again.

David -

She hesitantly grabbed my hands, and placed them on my heart.

Ashley -

"Don't...touch me..." Something in him broke, his expression changed really fast. The text messages crept in, my Aunt and Ally are nicer on the phone, because they are afraid I'll tell someone, I'm afraid of telling someone.

David -

It's bothering me so much, I've never let a girl bother me like this! It's so irritating!

Ashley -

The bed at least was more comfortable than the floor. My mother texted me. Staring at the text message, I couldn't understand it, she's not staying, and she's coming back.

David -

I knocked on her door, she was very quiet. I peeked inside, she was passed out on her bed. Her phone keeps going off though. Without realizing, I reached for her phone. She looks peaceful while she sleeps. The messages rolled up, I stared at them, so her mother isn't home? Who has she been staying with? I found myself going downstairs with her phone, and texting this mother of hers.

Ashley -

There was a maid outfit on the back of a chair next to the vanity. Slowly I put it on, it wasn't to bad. As soon, as I went downstairs, David stopped me.

David -

"My security guard will leave you off with what you need to get done."

Ashley -

He seemed cold shoulder to me. His security guard handed me a broom and dustpan. As I was cleaning, David stormed in.

David -

"Is this an act you out on or something!?" She stared at me in disbelief.

Ashley -

He had a picture of me, on my phone, sucking a guys dong. "That's not me," I whispered.

David -

"It sure in hell looks like you!"

Ashley -

"My cousin makes photo shopped pictures," my hands fiddled with the broom, "looks like she did it well, didn't she?" Slowly I put the broom against the wall.

David -

This really wasn't her...

Ashley -

"Tell me," I whispered. "Why do you care?" He frowned at me, "my cousin does this a lot."

David -

Her voice was squeaky now, she's to, sensitive. "Why would she do this?" Ash had her eyes on the floor.

Ashley -

"They tell me I'm to easy."

David -

"Too easy?" Her eyes met mine.

Ashley -

"Whatever is mine, isn't mine," slowly I went and grabbed my phone from him, "this, is mine, was..." it still had gum on it.

David -

"I don't get it."

Ashley -

"Why do you care!?" I begged him to tell me.

David -

"Because!" She shook her head frantically at me. "Do I half to care! Do I need a reason to show you any kindness!?" A tear ran down her cheek.

Ashley -

"Yes," He pulled me close to him. Our lips about touched for a moment.

David -

"Fine, then leave."

Ashley -

"My, Aunt's car..." He smirked a little.

David -

"It's already fixed."

Ashley -

"What?" He smiled even more.

David -

"Just go home."

Ashley -

He sealed in the center between us, and kissed me.

David -

"There, try and forget about that," she was shocked. She didn't know what to say, or do. After she left, I found her purse on the bed, "damn forgetful little shit."

Ashley -

I dug through the car looking every where, just as my Aunt came outside, oh boy she wasn't happy. Before she could pull me inside, David's car pulled up. He slowly got out with his body guard.

David -

"You forgot your purse," her eyes widened with fright.

Ashley -

Aunty was all over him, along with Ally. He pushed through them and held my purse out.

David -

"Take it," she brought her hand out to take it, but the woman smacked her hand back making her jump, then she took the purse.

Aunt -

"That's not hers."

Ashley -

I nodded slowly.

David -

Ash went to turn and go into the house, but I snatched her hand fast, "don't go," she turned and looked at me very fast.

Ashley -

I tried ripping my hand out of his grasp, but he wouldn't let go, and when are eyes met, his cold stare was on me.

David -

"Your not done with your job yet," her eyes widened. I had her get her things, and I took her home with me. After seeing how she was being treated, I knew I couldn't let her stay with them. "So, your mother, she is in college?" She nodded.

Ashley -

"She wanted to be a teacher, she's out of town, she's been gone for four and half years, she comes back for the holidays," I hugged myself, "although, she isn't home for me...she took her new husband with her."

David -

She has it bad, she misses her mom, but her mom ditched her onto her Aunt, her Aunt is hitting her, and her cousin is making her life a living hell as well. Reading back through the text messages, I'd say she disowned Ashley.

Ashley -

He grabbed my hand and pulled me to him.

David -

"Stop worrying on where your going to stay," she frowned at me.

Ashley -

"How did you know that?" He smiled.

David -

"Because, you had a questioning look."

Ashley -

"I don't have a questioning look," I whined. He gave me a serious face. "Anyways, what I was going to say, how am I going to get to school?"

David -

"I will take you."

Ashley -

"Right daddy, what else are you going to do?" I raised an eyebrow at him, as he slowly got up.

David -

"You have quite the snapper."

Ashley -

"Yes," I nodded, "school starts in two months, by then, my mother will be back."

David -

"Uh-huh," I grabbed her hips, pulling her into me. Her eyes widened.

Ashley -

"What...are we..." He shooshed me. David kissed my neck, getting a little yelp from me.

David -

"Just stay still, and leg me look at the damage, I'll make it all better."

Ashley -

"Okay," something in my stomach didn't sit well, although, what I was feeling a lot lower, was making me blush.

David -

"Come with me."

Ashley -

David and I had what he called, fun. He wasn't any where to be found when I woke up, I felt stupid, and disgusting, but why? My mother texted me again. She was already home. I stared at the text messages. She wanted to know where I was, I didn't reply.

David -

I am such an ass! She wasn't any where in the house.

Ashley -

Slowly I pushed the door open. Mom was stacking books, Ally watched me very carefully.

Ally -

"Your in big trouble."

Ashley -

"What?" I was pulled into the room, Aunty was the one who pulled me in.

Mom -

"Ashley!?" She pulled away from her Aunt.

Ashley -

I stared at them, "I only came back for mom," I whispered.

Aunt -

"So, what did you come back for, money?"

Ashley -

"Mom," I pointed at her.

Mom -

"Why did you send me pictures of you and whoever that boy was!?" The room was very silent now.

Ashley -

"He was my ex, Ally was sleeping with him," I responded a little, saddened, "Ally steals my phone a lot, and she has been photo shopping pictures of me," I crossed my arms, "it's a living hell here," I whispered. Aunty frowned, and she gave me a look of don't you dare.

Mom -

"What's going on here Melissa!?"

Ashley -

"She..." I couldn't get the words out. "I'm sorry," I sadly looked down, "it was me, I did it, Ally had nothing to do with anything," I whispered.

Mom -

"Lying!" I gasped, "seriously Ashley!?"

Ashley -

Nodding slowly, I closed the door. I went downstairs, my step dad was sitting on the couch talking to Ally.

Dad -

"Hey kiddo," I don't believe it, I don't think Ashley is capable of any of that, she's to shy, and, quiet.

Ashley -

"Hi," I opened the front door, and walked down the street a bit. This car pulled on over next to me, and once the window opened, a man stepped out of the car.

Thomas -

"Hello my lady, the master wants to see you," she looked confused, I took her hand, "it is urgent. This woman came out and called for a girls name, my lady looked back.

Ashley -

She will never believe me. I stared back at the driver. "Okay..." Just as she turned the corner, the man opened the door for me, and I got in.

David -

Ash was quiet, she slowly leaned her head on me, "how's your head?" She shook a little.

Ashley -

"Fine."

David -

"Your being awfully quiet."

Ashley -

Emotional is how I felt, raged, and sad. "why did you leave me?" He showed me a couple of roses in his hand.

David -

"I...didn't know what I was thinking, please, accept this as my apology," she took the roses, and sadly stared at it.

Ashley -

"It's nice."

David -

She started crying for no reason, or maybe there was.

Ashley -

"I'm sorry," he wrapped his arm around me. Is this what I want? A total stranger that I made love with?

David -

"I'm going to protect you Ash," she nodded a little, all she does is nod a lot, why does she do that, "listen, your entitled to your own opinions, just remember that."

Ashley -

"I know."

David -

"Then please enlighten me."

Ashley -

"My, mom came back, and everything my cousin texted her..." my words got caught, and I was heaving for breath.

David -

"Calm," I had her look at me, lightly touching her cheeks, "I promise, I won't ever let you down, and I'm never going to disappoint you."

Ashley -

"I don't understand," I whispered.

David -

"You will soon."

Ashley -

"What do you see in me?"

David -

"A beautiful shy woman," her cheeks blushed as she batted her hazel nut eyes at me. I kissed her forehead.

Ashley -

I do, he's what I want. I came back to my Aunt's house with David later that day. David stepped in first as soon as he heard the rude comments from my Aunt.

David -

"I'd like to speak to Ashley's parents."

Ashley -

I frowned a bit, I can't remember what we were doing here. I was hidden behind David as my mother and step father came downstairs.

Mom -

"Uh..."

David -

"Ma'am, I'd like to court your daughter," I crossed my arms, "I see your staying with a witch, so, if you don't mind, I'd also like you to come stay with me."

Ashley -

What is he doing!?

Mom -

"Courting my daughter!" I frowned at him, "I don't care, take her and go."

Ashley -

My chest tightened.

David -

"Fine, but when she ends up pregnant, don't ask to be in her life, because," I glared at her, "I won't let you," her eyes widened. "I'll give you one last chance, you deny her, then you don't get to see her again, I promise," she looked mortified.

Mom -

"What did you do to her!?"
